We went in July, and it was a wonderful break from the oppressive summer heat. The tour itself, had a genuine feel, and our tour guide provided a perfect balance of interesting facts and entertaining stories about the history and geology of the cave. The actual cave was also really interesting. The concert hall in the cave was one of... More

Great tour for families. The guide was very knowledeable and friendly. The cavern was interesting and the tour was just the right length. I read other reviews that complained about the light show- cant figure out what they were talking about- it was pretty "vanilla" if you ask me. My little kid really enjoyed it!

My family just returned to Florida after a two week adventure trip across the US. The Rocky Topper Adventure tour at Cumberland Caverns was one of our favorite stops. If you up for a challenge and truly want to experience the caverns, sign up for one of these tours. Kenny was our tour guide for the day and he was... More

Wow! Thanks! That is an honor that you and your boys consider us one of your favorite stops on your US tour. Our adventure tours are one of the most fun ways to experience the cave. Also, thanks for sharing the pictures. That is a great shot of crawling. And you got to see a cave cricket also. Thank you... More

It's been 20 years since I last went through the caverns and it is still spectacular!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the caves and the surrounding area. The wild Adventure tour was certainly a workout, but my 8 year old loved it! Will definitely be making return visits and I'm hoping to get our Cub Scout pack to visit... More

Thank you for the return visit. We were wondering if you could tell if the stalactites had grown any in 20 years? Ha, Ha. It's great that you got to enjoy the adventure tour with your kid. Scouts do love coming the cave for tour. We can even let them spend the night inside the cave after a full evening... More

The Cavern staff made a fun time even better for my wife and I. Other tourist spots and thier staff could learn a lot by spending just an hour at Cumberland Caverns. Thanks x 100 for a good time.

I like the vast rooms within the cave and the silence so deep that one can hear drops of water falling into little pools. When the lights are off, there is total darkness. Some reviewers have written that they don't care for the Christian light and sound show. It is a little long and would probably fit better in other... More

Thank you for taking the time to review and give some thoughts. I love the quote "the silence so deep". I may steal that idea for some advertisements later on. Caves are a great place to experience some of the true wonders of creation. We appreciate your words and look forward to having you back soon. More

I have visited numerous caverns in the last four years and was severely disappointed in Cumberland Caverns. All my other visits were with small groups and was a lot of fun. However, on this one, there were 16 people in the group. I stayed in the back because I always take a lot of pictures. However, how can I take... More

Management response:

Thank you for taking your time to post a review and point out some areas we can improve upon. I've always been a "glass half full" kind of person, so at least our cave was worthy of some picture taking, at least until the lights went off. We do turn lights on and off during the tour to prevent algae... More

My wife and I returned today for our second visit since moving to Tennessee 4 years ago. The tour was as interesting as we remembered and our guide did a great job. It's a bit expensive for a 90 minute tour, but it's not something you do very often. There are a lot of steps, but the guide didn't rush... More
