The caverns were great. There is some really great history here. It was cool to here the history of the two areas of the caverns being dug out and connected to each other. It definitely took a while to get here from Nashville, and the place is off the beaten path in McMinnville. I coupled this with visiting Rock Island... More

A nice guided tour of a large cave. Stalactites, stalagmites, and even saw a bat! About a mile trek...wear sturdy shoes. A cool place!

It is a short walk to the mouth of the cave and once you enter the humidity goes up but the temperature is 56 degrees. The first bit was just okay but as you move father into the cave the WOW factor increases. They also have a non-denominational light show. We went to see a group from the Bluegrass Underground... It was a great venue for a show. The seating set up is so-so. I recommend bringing your own chair and snacks.

Had a great time on this tour. We like caves -- touristy caves that one can walk upright -- and this is a very nice one. Tour guide was excellent, personable, and knowledgeable. It's a well developed cave that's easy to walk... big wide paths, well lit, easy to navigate. This cave is private property. There's a flag flying out front,... More

We just got back from our day trip to Cumberland Caverns. What a great place to visit! The cave was stunningly beautiful, the tour was great (the guide was very professional and entertaining!) Its a pretty long tour, so you really get your moneys worth! The facilities were very well kept up---didnt feel like a tourist trap like so many... More

We were there on a Wednesday at opening. There was not a crowd & only 5 in our tour group. This made for extra time & a relaxed walking trip. NOT government owned & regulated & this is a GOOD thing. This makes for a more personal & relaxing experience & not the "Sterility" one comes to expect at "places... More

My 2 friends and I did the parts unknown tour. Our tour guide was awesome. Nice guy and funny. Be prepared to get dirty and wear some good hiking boots. I've never gone into a cave before, so to do this tour was really out of my comfort zone. I would definitely go back! Definitely worth every penny.

I visited Cumberland Caverns about 20 years ago, and just went back this year. I can't believe I waited that long, it was better than I remembered. There are lots of lovely formations on every turn. There are quite a few stairs, so if you are really out of shape you may be doing a little huffing and puffing. The... More

I hadn't been there in years but it was still awesome! Prices for tours were up quite a bit but I wasn't going to drive that far and not see it. My guide said they are phasing out the old caveman logo. That's sad, it was a memory of all the scout trips when I waswas a kid. My guide... More
