This is the one of the first trips each year the boys want to put on our calendar. We generally go in either Nov/Dec time frame when the weather in TN can be somewhat crazy. Our Troop simply loves climbing around on the Wild Tour, and sleeping in the cave. Its well organized and the staff is so helpful. From... More

How do you improve on a cave? Several years ago I had the opportunity to take Boy Scouts spelunking into Cumberland Caverns. I am a Geography/ Special Education teacher and love travels and adventures. Our boys crawled around for hours and learned about the value, history and use of caves. I left Tennessee (frowny face) So I recently discovered that... More

Out tour with our guide, Amber, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the cave, how it was formed and when it was discovered. Our toddler was mesmerized by the cave itself. Excited to visit Bluegrass Underground in the future.

We have visited caves before, but we were so impressed with Cumberland Caverns! We had a great tour guide, Andrea, who was witty, professional and informative. The caverns are beautiful, natural and not overly "commercial". Our 1.5 hour tour went through many natural formations and their underground concert hall, which is amazing. There is a natural stone staircase, which takes... More

Get there early and wear comfy shoes. If you have to park at the bottom lot, you will have a moderately strenuous walk ahead of you because there's no shuttle on concert days. They have good there if you get a late start. Awesome acoustics in the cave.

The wild tour was very challenging. I thoroughly enjoyed it but was surprised at the level of difficulty. I went with my Girlscout troop. A couple of 6 and 7 year old girls went and did great. The 11 year old girls loved it. The moms who went were challenged by the course. If you are out of shape or... More

The cave is so beautiful and unique and if you happen to be there when Bluegrass Underground is going on, it is an additional unique experience for the whole family.

Cave of the Dead... Haunted Caverns was a great new experience. Wanted to do something different for Halloween & this certainly was. The 'tour' itself was not as long as I expected, but it was well worth it. If you are looking for a different frightening experience, then this is for you!
