This is the 3rd or 4th time we've visited this cavern. I did an overnight adventure as a child, did the standard walking tour with family a few years ago, did the overnight adventure in 2012, and did the overnight adventure once again this month. This is a neat experience - we've primarily brought our scout units to spend the... More

This is a beautiful and interesting cave that is worth going off the beaten track a bit to visit. It has several large rooms and some quite large and impressive formations. It has a couple of features that you are not likely to see in another show cave, including a very large and ornate antique chandelier from a New Jersey... More

Seven in our tour from one year old to over 60. The daily walking tour was well lit and there are enough stops that no one got winded. Our guide was a young man(about 19 yrs old). He was full of information about the cave history and the surrounding area even though he had not lived in the area very... More

My son had a blast and sleeping in the cave was an adventure in itself. Bring earplugs cause the sound carries! When they say bring close you don't mind getting dirty listen and bring shoes you don't care about or that you don't mind ruining. IF YOU ARE A BIG PERSON MAKE SURE THAT SPENDING LONG TIMES CRAWLING ON HANDS... More

This is an amazing cave with many beautiful formations. The "rooms" are huge and the lighting is just enough to show off the structures without ruining the feel of being in a cave. I could have done without the inspirational audio reenactment of the experience of the cave's founder, but that was brief. Our guide was just so-so; it really... More

Our Cub Scout Pack visits the cave every year. The boys love the Adventure Tour. We camp inside the cave. The cave has a concession stand with food and drinks. There is a restroom near where you sleep. The guides are great with the kids. This is a must do trip for any type of youth group.

This is a great experience for anyone but it is especially good for younger scouts. They get the opportunity to explore the cave and do some "rigorous" camping (it is not so rigorous to those who have been camping awhile) and expand their experiences. This is truly a wonderful experience for all who attend. you will be amazed at the... More

If you are looking for a cave close to Atlanta, this is a great choice. Lots of touring options including those who may be leery of the experience. Great guides, good conditions. We did the Ricky top tour with scouts as young as 12. Some large adults as well. It was great.

We went to Cumberland Caverns and we loved it! The staff was so friendly and gives you free fudge samples. Tour was a reasonable price. Our guide was very sweet and knowledgeable. She was able to answer every question. We got to see some bats! There are some amazing sites down there. You go about 400 feet down and get... More

This is a very good staff and visiting this month is the best time. we were the only group, so no crowds and no rushing. It is 1.5 hrs drive but so worth it.
