A very picturesque island well worth a visit. Rothesay is quiet plenty of eateries and seats for viewing the loch. Mini golf is an attraction. Visit the stately home the magnificent chandeliers and chapel. The ferry runs frequently to the mainland.

Did an open top tour of the island of bute. Quite expensive £9 adult, £7 concession but get £1 discount vouchers from the discovery centre before you get on the bus. You get to see all round the island and good photos can be taken from the top deck. Very friendly driver.

Scenery, and the house at Mount Stuart not to be missed (unique} This house is like no other stately home I have visited, and appealing as it is still a family home. We travelled on the ferry from Dunoon, and once you get t6o Bute it is so atmpospheric

Loved this tour, driver was great, loved the music. Weather could have been less misty but well worth the money.

the house was beautiful, interesting and the grounds were stunning. Would recommend a visit it has a coffee shop and walks in the grounds, unfortunately the gift shop was closed due to refurb but this did not spoil the enjoyment of the visit.

Enjoyed the beautiful scenery and very friendly people. Fantastic place to visit. Really enjoyed the Waverley steam boat which was a brilliant experience and is a must for anyone visiting the islands.

This bus was everything we needed on our short trip to the Isle of Bute. We were only there for half a day and getting on this bus trip was great as it took us all over the island, telling us about the local towns, attractions and information. Do not forget your camera as you have some of the most... More

We payed nine ponnds each for the bus tour that lasted about an hour and a half was very informative and we had a lovely day of sunshine which made the open top bus tour so pleasant if I go back to rothesay I would hire a bike to visit the beaches,

Spent an afternoon - after a great visit to Mount Stuart - re-visiting somewhere I knew from childhood.Maybe the Hebrides (and Arran and,to a lesser extent, Millport) have spoiled me but I wasn't impressed with Bute. Some of Rothesay looked like Shettleston-on- Sea, a very depressing , dirty looking town of tawdry shop fronts, suprisingly over-built and with pubs that looked...
