My second visit - the last one being over 40 years ago! Really amazing how much variety can be grown so far North. Well laid out and interesting. We visited in November so were the only people there - made it even more magical. Even the vegetable garden was still full of produce. Lots of work going on in the... More

It is the sort of place where you want to go back again and again and again, every season brings it's own charm to the place. Special mention to the very friendly, knowledgeable and passionate lady who took us on a very informative and interesting guided tour.

This is one of those places where you could spend an hour or a day. Nice in misty rain and beautiful in the sun. Amazing plants with endless little paths--often with nobody else on them. Take a camera or a sketchpad or just enjoy. Definitely worth the admission.

Great views of the local scenery from the garden. Lots to see even at the end of October. Still many flowers and great autumn colour.

Fantastic gardens with all manner of exotic vegetation that you really would not expect to see so far north. Good sea views too with plenty of benches to enjoy them from. The paths are wide and well made and not too steep. Large Cafe and loads of parking.

Visited here with wife and 2 young kids - 8 and 5. The gardens are in a wonderful setting and are much bigger than we expected. At the visitor centre we were given an activity/quiz book for the kids to complete as we walked around. This kept the kids interested and meant that we could explore the whole garden! Well... More

Enjoyed visit during a spell of fantastic October weather. Great for visitors who do not have any mobility issues, whilst a number of garden benches for visitors more thought needs to be put into their location for visitors with mild mobility issues.

We were intrigued by the walled gardens and woodland walks. Plants were still flowering in September. It was a pity they could not look up our son's membership of the English NT. The restaurant was very attractive but we only had a drink.

This is the third time we have visited Inverewe (the other 2 were in spring) and it was most interesting to see the gardens in a different season. The sheer variety of plants of all shapes and sizes is brilliant, making the most of the relatively warm climate for this far north (it's definitely warmer than where I live in... More

If you have any interest in botany or gardening, you must stop at the delightful Inverewe Gardens when in Wester Ross. Protected by warmer Gulf Stream air, this was a true delight and even in October many things were still in bloom. We really enjoyed spending a morning here!
