Inverewe is a lovely garden now in the care of the National Trust for Scotland. The garden is protected by the pine trees planted at its inception, and is divided into numerous different areas. A liesurely two hours is needed to really enjoy these delightful gardens. Different times of year bring different pleasures. Early summer is our favourite when the... More

The azaleas and rhodies were all in bloom when we visited. A morning storm had just cleared off. The Himalayan poppies were also blooming. Enjoyed the paths and walkways and the variety of plants.

A lovely place to stroll whether you're into botanics, or just looking for a peaceful, beautiful garden to wander in.

The Passport for kids was great I got to look around the garden and the kids were happy aswell bonus. Quite poor markings easy to get lost. No clear marked pathways to follow so I felt I had missed a lot of the garden.

We detoured 120 miles to visit here following an absence of many years since a previous visit. Well worth the effort and the rain held off until after we competed our walk round the gardens. The rhododendrons were in bloom and all seems well managed. A cheeky weasel carrying a shrew whipped across our path as we returned to the... More

This lovely garden, perched as it is on the rugged north west coast of Scotland, is an absolute delight. There are numerous different areas to explore going right down to the shore and a variety of flora that will constantly surprise you given the northern latitude. Well worth a couple of hours visit or half a day including time for... More

This was our second visit to these stunning gardens and although not as stunning as our last visit (due to the weather) they make a great day out. The nesting herons where a highlight. The café was very good and by having a scone and jam we were helping to feed their resident Pine marten which eats any jam left... More

Two hours or so here is time well spent, interesting plants so far North, much work in progress as well as established areas. Many plants have Latin name labels only. Good value, great location, v large park pretty full, but garden has so many pathways it did not seem crowded at all. Reasonably priced entrance fees. No toilets in the... More

Lovely gardens in a wonderful setting the shrubs and trees are amazing. The car park was busy and there was also a visiting cruise ship the extent of the gardens allowed us to feel that there's not many people around! The Walled Garden is nice particularly with the various ornamental features, remember to have a close look at the metal... More

Visited on 3 June. Still a good display of Rhododendrons and Azaleas, although I would estimate the second half of May would be the best time of year to visit to get the best displays. Easy to navigate with free map provided and I would recommend the free daily guided tour which currently starts at 1.30. Restaurant - nice building... More
