It was years since we'd been to the gardens and although it was a miserably wet day when we came back, it was still nice to wander round the multitude of plants. You can easily spend a couple of hours viewing them all. The only disappointment for us was the food on offer in the visitor centre cafe. There were... More

I last went here as a toddler and had little idea why I remembered it 50+ years on, hence am delighted to have returned. It offers real variety for all ages - as well as a fantastic welcome

This place is a treasure trove of wonderful plants and sympathetic artworks. Even the gates and railings are beautiful.

Visited this garden with our teenage son. It really is lovely combining a managed garden in a wild Highland setting. Relatively easy to get round. Has an interesting mix of planting areas and very clever use of screening with trees and landscape features. Well worth the visit. We spent about 4 hours in the garden pottering around. Bliss! We ate... More

Stunning natural setting on the edge of Loch Ewe; beautiful walks among the azaleas, rare trees, shrubs, and gardens.

The gardens were lovely today, staff were very helpful as we had an elderly relative with us. However the cafe needs to new management. First visit was to the ladies toilets - black mould around the bottom of taps shows that the cleaning regime is poor. This a somewhat contra to the automatic no touch soap and had hand towel... I'm glad that you enjoyed the Garden and will pass on your comments to the gardening team. Thank you also for pointing out the issue with the mould. I shall look into it immediately and ask our cleaner to ensure they are more observant. I was in the cafe at two o clock and both saw and sampled the food... More

Very nice but ... Dogs not allowed. The viewpoints are good but the site could benefit from the kind of occasional garden notes boxes you find at Arduaine

It is very well maintained and has fabulous views across Loch Ewe. Watch out for pine martens - I saw one! The café is very good.

Completed a Thistle Camp at Inverewe gardens in April. The garden location is very special with some outstanding views. There are some champion specimens of trees and there is a lot of thought behind the garden design .Look at the gates at the bottom of the formal garden and the platform designed to imitate the fern at the insect eating...
