My friends and I were touring round scotland in a vintage camper van and decided to try something different. I found it very easy to book with Skye trekking centre as this was done with just a simple email. They were very helpful and even emailed directions to find them which we did with ease. I also called last minute... More

Our pony trek was great fun (once I overcame my fear!) and was really enjoyable. The ponies were lovely and the staff were very helpful and friendly, and were able to put an absolutely beginner like me at ease. And what a fantastic location. I'd just like to say many thanks for the part you played in what was a... More

We had zero experience heading in and they gave us a very basic lesson on how to control the ponies. Unfortunately they had had a rough week at the centre and things were running late that morning, so the person at reception was running around on a gimpy leg trying to get all the horses tacked up while weighing everyone... I booked my 2 children in for an hour's lesson - they had done trekking in the past and i felt they could do with a bit of time on their technique. Both are v much beginners. The horses look well cared for. 2 members of staff were allocated for the lesson and I felt they engaged well with the... More

An enjoyable hour spent with family. We are all complete novices so felt reassured by the number of staff leading the horses. The staff were chatty and gave lots of info on the horses and their personalities. I imagine this would not be very exciting for experienced riders but it was a perfect experience for our group.

I have been visiting the Isle of Skye for 12 years now and thought I'd try the Skye Riding Centre for something new to do - and we were pleasantly surprised! All the staff were happy and welcoming and clearly loved taking care of the horses. We were both new to riding but we were given plenty of reassurance and... More

Met at reception by the most disorganised, disorientated person I have ever met in customer services, who proceeded to tut loudly every time a car drove up the drive-way, occasionally muttering "what do they want". She then tried several times to fit a customer with a clearly broken riding hat. Kept "forgetting" what she was doing. Nothing there to inspire... More

Thank you for your review. Our toilets are for staff only as we are very muddy throughout the day working with the horses as you can expect, therefore unless someone is desperate for the loo, we generally do not allow customers to use them. This is usually explained to anyone who wishes to use them before hand. We are under... More
