Most people start the walk from the car park at the top of the steep road from Staffin. The car park will quickly get full in summer and the start of the walk will be crowded with people. Much better to start the walk from the car park just before Floddigarry. The views from the top are stunning. After the... More

We thought this was one of the most amazing places we visited on Skye. Had a wonderful walk on a beautiful sunny day. Only walked a short way as we had two dogs on leads but would love to come back another occasion and explore further.

Like the Old Man of Storr this is an iconic landscape on Skye formed by landslip and erosion; full of mystery and magic. The geology of the Trotternish peninsular consists of "Jurassic sediments, clays, shales and sandstones overlain by thick lava flows." It is a breathtaking place - especially during the "golden hour" around sunrise and sunset.

Disclaimer: I did not do enough research before the hike, I had no clue how far I went or how far it was! A beautiful hike that one member of our group did in Toms brand shoes! Tennis shoes would be an encouraged upgrade. While I wore hiking boots, I was the most comfortable for both cold, mud and rain!... More

There must be great walks in here, but we had other plans. The view is spectacular out west to Harris & Lewis. If the weather is foul I suggest you rug up and suck it up, the view was even more impressive

What does one say? Scenic, dramatic, great views, small car park at summit can be busy. Take care if going walking as cliffs very steep

An absolute must see on a clear day. Extraordinary scenery. You can stay on the road or get out of your car and hike around. A must see on the Isle of Skye.

Like somebody here said, this is like 'walking through a dream'. It truly is. There are no words in the world to describe the beauty of this piece of land. I cannot stop thinking about it and would love to go back and have another walk around... This is probably the most breath taking hike you can ever take. I... More

A high drive to near the summit. Car parking near the summit and a short walk to the usual photos .. worth the effort

We did the walk from the Staffin-Uig road parking to the Quiraing. We did have company of other walkers, There are some bit where you'll have to use your hands but mostly fairly easy to walk. it is like a paved way amidst grass but you must have a head for heights. Look out of golden eagles near the cliff-... More
