Highly recommended and well worth supporting. This reptile sanctuary is home to a number of snakes, lizards, tortoises and frogs, many of which have been rescued. My two sons and I were given a full guided tour by a member of staff who was very knowledgeable and clearly cared deeply about the reptiles at the centre. We were also allowed... More

Small but interesting, very nice staff, worth a visit on a rainy day, got to hold a snake and learned some interesting facts. Please visit and support this nice serpentarium.

After reading positive reviews on here- we visited today - 4 adults and 4 kids ages 3 to 7 -the energy of the staff just makes this place - kids loved it and we all got the chance to hold one of the snakes -something I had never done before and I think I've now confronted my fear of snakes... More

We stopped in just before lunch on Saturday July 12, 2014 and had a wonderful visit. The main docent spent 20 minutes with us showing around and discussing how they attain the animals (typically from Customs intervention of illegally smuggled animals), and how they rehabilitate and breed the animals. The pancake tortoises were my personal favorites, but the entire display... More

This is a reptile rescue center, where there are a great variety of snakes but none of them dangerous and one is allowed to handle some of them.

Although I personally never visited the Serpentarium the rest of my family did, all seemed to thoroughly enjoy the experience given by an informative and enthusiastic guide, indeed my two nieces traveled all the way home with there new pet giant snails purchased at the Serpentarium cheaply (about £5) along with a small environment, information book and all the info on... The Skye Serpentarium in Broadford is a small reptile sanctuary run by people who care. It is located just off the main road through Broadford and has a car park with about a dozen spaces. The location is attractive with a burn running under a stone bridge right next to the Serpentarium, presumably the source of the watermill that must... More

The actual exhibit is very very small, but there are a number of snakes, toads and lizards to look at. The overwhelming feeling you get while being given your tour, is that the staff that work here genuinely care about their animals. The animals that are housed here have been rescued predominantly from ignorant people importing them illegally. It is... More

The staff were very warm and friendly and one man in particular was obviously very enthusiastic about the animals. It's only a little building but I love snakes so this was heaven for me. The only thing that could make this better would be expansion!
