With a long tradition of highland hospitality, our aim is to provide the very best service we can, the best in local and regional produce wherever possible and to encourage and support live music, especially traditional Scottish music.Having been in the family since 1869, a recent refurbishment has restored the Mishnish bar to its Victorian roots. The 5th-generation of MacLeods look forward to you enjoying a malt whisky by the fire, or a cask ale from our cellar and enjoying our regular live music. « less

Everything you could want from a small local - decent ale on tap and bottled, nice warm fire, cosy nooks and crannies to sit in and a decent restaurant next door (the Mishdish) that you can get some lunch/dinner in. We had the seafood platter for lunch one day and it was amazing.

For a long while this was the only pub we visited in Tobermory at night, can have a great atmosphere (Italy England match to name one that stands out in my mind- suddenly a whole pub of Scottish folk were unexplainably Italian for 90 minutes) and is ideal for sitting having a few pints. We did tend to start the... More

Had a quick drink in this pub on a Thursday afternoon in January. Oddly enough(!) it was empty but the beer was nice and the smell of the log fire was very inviting. I would like to visit again for longer.

The Mishnish is the hotel and bar as opposed to the Mishdish, which is the restaurant next door. It's the big black building on the front - it used to be mainly yellow but that's a whole different story and one of much local controversy apparently! We found the bar area to be very cosy, although it's quite large, with... More

A very interesting place that's looks like it has been around since before the town began. Friendly staff and locals more than happy to have a natter with you and we got plenty of local advice on wildlife spots that were exceptionally accurate. If you want to know anything - ask the locals and where better to do it than... More

We are a family group including teenagers and a 7 year old. We were made to feel welcome even though this is clearly where the residents of Tobermory drink. The beer was good although the price of a pint at £3.70 is on the scary side however this about the norm for the island. There is something to look at... More

The Mishnish is probably the only decent pub in Tobermory. Decent choice of drinks and better prices thna over at the bar by the distillery. Have been there twice in 2 years... the pub has been tarted up with new decor. The pool table is on a tectonic palte so critical bets shouldn't be placed. The toilets for the guys... More

Characterful pub let down by surly bartender and warm white wine. "nobody has complained before" was the indifferent response.

One of the places to go for the music festival. However you could still find a seat in a small snug and play the piano if you wanted to avoid the crush!
