We took a trip with younger children and as it was early on a Sunday there was only us and one other man as passengers which was great. it was a one hour tour of the calmer nearby waters. We saw seals basking on rocks, pulled up a crab net thing/lobster pot, sailed past a salmon farm, saw a sea... More

This company has provided me with some of the most memorable wildlife experiences of my life. I must have been out with them 20 times now (right across the seasons) and have never been disappointed. So many sea birds, Basking Sharks, Minke Whales, Harbour Porpoise, Common Dolphin, White-tailed and Golden Eagles, Common and Grey Seals, plus beautiful scenery, and a... More

We went on a 7 hour whale watching trip. The crew were so knowledgeable and shared so much information with us, their enthusiasm was awesome. It was a bit choppy but if you stay on the lower deck you will be fine. The weather was very kind to us, warm and sunny for the most part. Lunch was taken in... More

Having been recommended Sea Life Surveys by several people, I traveled on two 7 hour trips in early September. Clearly we were fortunate with the weather (the wind was fairly light and the temperature maybe 60-70 Fahrenheit), and lucky with the sightings of both Porpoises and Minke Whales (a first for me for both species), and add this together with... We took the 4 hour Whale Watch trip in August 2014 with our three kids aged 7-11. The weather on the day of our trip was sunny but a bit windy, so we weren't able to head too far off shore, which I suspect limited our chances of seeing any of the big beasties. The staff on board were friendly,... More

Went on the 7 hour sailing to the Cairns of Coll. The weather had been rough the past few days and our initial date was postponed. The organisers were very helpful with this suggesting alternative dates. The trip itself was excellent. We had excellent guides including the volunteers. Saw loads of birds but sadly no whales or dolphins this time... More

We saw no whales or basking shark during the seven hour trip although we did see some seals. Unfortunately the sea was quite rough owing to the previous day's gale force winds so actually being able to see anything was quite remote anyway. This fact we only found out once we were underway. Of course with wild animals there is... More
