I had a great time, although we failed to see any whales or dolphins (some people saw the fin of a harbour porpoise). We had excellent views of white-tailed eagles on the cliffs and flying on the way out and on the way back, then an exhilarating rough windy sunny trip across the open sea, watching gannets and shearwaters and... Took this trip with 4 teenagers and all in all we really enjoyed it, the experts knew their stuff and the boat facilities were good. We had decent weather (sunny) though it was freezing out at sea. We didnt see a great deal of wildlife but that isnt the fault of Sealife surveys its just the luck of the draw... More

They are very friendly and good at what they do, but paying nearly 300 euros for a trip of 2 adults and 3 children is a lot and you get to see the same thing you always see on these trips: birds and seals. Best and cheapest thing we found to see ceteceans are the regular ferry on a roundtrip...oban... More

Another great day out with Sea Life Surveys. The weather picked up as the day progressed and we had some nice sightings of minke whales plus the usual seabirds and nice seals at the Cairns. Lovely sighting of a Sea Eagle taking prey to its chicks, too, on our way back to Tobermory. The staff and volunteer were enthusiastic and... More

Lovely day out, and the crew were fab - really knowledgeable and incredibly sharp-eyed when it came to spotting! We saw a sea eagle, harbour porpoises, minke whale, bottlenose dolphins and a mass of sea birds - including the most incredible diving gannets - one of the most amazing things I've ever seen!

If you only do one trip on Mull then you should try this one. The staff are so knowledgeable and can spot a Razorbill on the sea from a mile away! Thanks to all the staff we saw masses of sea birds, seals, a minke whale, sea eagles, harbour porpoises and had a good look at some plankton on the... More

Although we were unlucky on our trip,(no sightings), the trip itself was very enjoyable and well organised with attentive, vigilant and knowledgeable staff. The short rib ride to a beautiful beach for lunch, was pure magic, especially with the attendant curious seals looking on!! We will definitely be coming back for another trip. Remember half the fun is the expectation... More

We spent a brilliant day with Sea Life Surveys. The team is knowledgable and helpful, professional and personable; they knew just when to break out the ginger snaps - it wasn't really rough, but it definitely wasn't calm either! Also, a great skipper. There is a strong understanding of animal and environmental welfare and a commitment to conservation apparent in... More

This was a fantastic day out at sea. We were very lucky with our sightings and saw minke whales, common dolphins, porpoises, seals, sea eagles, puffins and a host of other sea birds, including the great skua. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. The crew are friendly and knowledgeable and their passion for the wildlife and science was obvious. All sightings... More

This was our 5th trip with Sealife Surveys which in itself shows what a great experience is provided. So long as you are prepared for the weather and appreciate the unpredictability of wildlife watching you will not be disappointed. All the crew are very friendly, approachable and knowledgable. Importantly in addition to your enjoyment the welfare of the the wildlife... More
