It's old but eloquent. Visions of yesteryear are everywhere. The elevators are ancient, and they've really tried to upgrade everything you see, but it's scheduled for a complete renovation this winter and I can't wait to see it after the redo.

We travelled to watch the Women's Open at Turnberry and then played the Ailsa course the day after. It was stunning. Brilliant. Awesome. How many adjectives can you use? The design of the course, its condition, the breathtaking views are all truly magnificent. I've played most of the Open venues but this is simply beyond compare. It costs a bomb... More

If you ever get the chance to play the course, and that's going to get harder as Mr. Trump has bought it, it's a must. I didn't play well but what a fantastic course; the holes, the history and the views were outstanding. The hospitality, company, food and venue were all above expectation. One for the bucket list!

Just got back from trip to Turnberry with 16 members of The Blue Anchor Golf Society. First played the Ailsa Course and what an experience it was. Second time I have played it and the weather was perfect for golf and the course in stunning condition as always. We stopped in one of the lodges at Turnberry which had 8... More

We played he Ailsa course on a beautiful fairly calm day. I don't think it is ever not windy in Scotland but this day was not real bad. Our caddies were very knowledgeable of the history of the course and country, which made for a fabulous day. The rough is deep and thick so stay out. The views from this... More

This is my favorite rota course. It is laid out beautifully on the land, is playable (but watch out for the deep rough), and Donald Trump is improving it as well. The trouble with Turnberry is that it is only the Trump hotel and golf course complex…there's really nothing else around, so be prepared to play golf and enjoy the... More

Superb course in immaculate condition and a good test of golf as they say, especially in 40mph gusts! A number of tight driving holes and hazards to test your course management before great putting on large undulating greens. All in all great fun and value for money.

We had a football at Trump Turnberry Ailsa course. It was in perfect condition and provided every bit of the challenge of golf we expected. All 4 of us left having had a thoroughly spectacular day on this championship golf course. We will definitely be back.

Great fun playing the Ailsa with my wife on a calm day which we both enjoyed immensely, However our second round was with rain and wind which showed just how difficult the course can be. The staff were good fun which made it all the more enjoyable.
