Arrived to find the club house still closed which was a pity but not to worry ; helpful staff working in difficult conditions in the old golf academy building. late tee time no pressure, had time on the range with balls supplied but the range limited to 130 yards! due to earthworks. Greens rather slow for a championship course and... More

Playing Royal Turnberry is truly the pure golfing experience. We knew going in the weather was going to be rough, however, this game was the perfect way to knock this off my bucket list by playing "true Scottish golf" 50k winds, rain straight in your face, ahhhh.... Not for the faint of heart.... The views were incomparable, the caddie, excellent........ More

One of the world's famous courses, you play on a links course overlooking Ailsa Craig rock and the famous lighthouse. It is not as difficult a course as St. Andrews although with the gorse either side of the fairway wild shots are punished. And amazingly for such a course we just turned up and walked on and played round with... More

On a chilly march day with a cold wind blowing in from the Atlantic the Ailsa course is a true test of Links golf. The course was in fantastic condition with the fairways firm and the greens fast. Would suggest if you want to play this great course before the Trump changes start in September I would get your booking... More

The Ailsa Course sits next to the Irish Sea and offers beautiful views on almost every hole. The 9th hole, in particular, has an island tee that is surrounded by sea water and a good hit is required to clear both the water and a large hill for any chance of reaching the green in two. I would only place... More

You would be hard pressed to find a more scenic golf course, one of the finest and worthy of its ranking in the top 20 in the world. The course layout and conditioning, lighthouse, Bruce's castle and views of Ailsa Craig with the iconic holes along the coast makes this a truly meorable experience. We secured a twilight tee off... Played the Kintyre and Ailsa on alternate days. The former seemed in better condition and left untouched whilst the latter was already under winter maintenance. Green side bunkers GUR being rebuilt. Didn't detract from the beauty of the courses, and the fantastic coastal setting. Saturday was last open day for Clubhouse, now under refurbishment. Well worth a visit. 83 😀... More

I loved this layout. It is a great venue. An added bonus was Peter the caddie and his great stories. He was the perfect caddie for me and he also helped my son get around the course. It has beautiful views. The course condition was not that great but it didn't take a thing away from this course. I would... More

The golf course is absolutely fantastic although the weather was not good on this occasion. The clubhouse service was excellent with stunning views. The ladies stayed in the lodges which were luxurious and lacked nothing. We had dinner above the spa and although the service was excellent for fifty five pounds I felt the menu lacked imagination and was rather... More
