We booked three activities with Torridon activities. My husband threw his back out and we had to cancel two. They were very professional and understanding which we appreciated. The activity we did manage was the archery. Despite a midge swarm we had a great time under Jennifer's leadership. She was friendly and encouraging!

We loved sea kayaking and gorge scrambling here. The instructors were enthusiastic, and knowledgable of local history/features/wildlife. They ensured everything done was to the groups ability, and made it fun for everyone. They do have waterproof cameras/go pros, so if you don't have one, ask them to take some photos for you, and they'll email them afterwards. If you stay... More

Over the course of a week in the highlands, our full day hiking around Loch Torridon was by far and away our favorite activity. Ollie, one of the hotel's mountain guides, planned the perfect trek for us of Beinn Alligin, which consists of a pair of munros and three additional horns. We would never have been able to have this... More

We did both Clay Pigeon Shooting & Gorge scrambling with the guys from Torridon Activities. Clays lasted about an hour and there was great helpful hints provided as you shot targets right in the lawn in front of the Torridon hotel. Gorge scrambling was even better - I would give it more than 5* if I could! An amazing afternoon... More

I wasn't actually a customer of the centre - I just stopped because my bike was knackered and I hoped they might help. Tom spent a good bit of time fixing my bike after having run activities all day and was incredibly nice about it. Was really nice to meet someone so generous! seems like a great place to do... More

This is one of the most wonderful places in the world to paddle! I brought my two nephews aged 12 and 14 to Torridon specifically to go sea kayaking. We stayed at the Torridon Inn and I'd booked 3 days kayaking for the 3 of us in advance. Luke was our instructor and he was great - knowledgable about the... More

Two great days out, Liathach on 12th October, and Ben Eighe on 13th October. Terrific autumn weather on the first day meant superb views from the ridge. Two members of the group had failed to disclose their lack of hillwalking experience before undertaking their first Munro!! This led to slow progress along the ridge and an alternative descent, the latter... More

Myself and two sons,10 & 14, did an afternoon of kayaking and an afternoon of gorge scrambling. Had a great time on both, though the gorge scrambling was a bit midge infested whenever we stopped for a breather and a talk on the next stage of the scramble! Worth it for for the big jump at the end - I... More

Had a great 3 days learning to sea kayak with Rich and Ryan at the Torridon. Definitely recommend spending a few days with these guys seeing the lovely scenery, spotting some seals and learning some kayaking skills. Felt very reassured and confident at all time. Was ace!

We have now been to two of the Walking Festivals organised by Torridon Activities and have had a great time on both. From great guides, fantastic activities and wonderful scenery to a great laugh back at the Torridon Inn at the end of the day, the festivals are not to be missed. If you get the chance to kayak across... More
