I have passed this place a few times and never bothered to go in as I suspected it would just be another Scottish gift shop. I was very wrong, there is a small cinema theatre here showing Films of local interest. Great wee place and so unusual.

Loved the history lesson given to us by the enigmatic Ken! The presentation was both information and funny, with plenty of interaction. We got to see the kilt Mel Gibson war in Braveheart and gained a real insight into highland living and just how tough it was.

Rather lovely, little shop but unusual gear that you don't see everyday. Nice, friendly fella behind the counter....

The shop is cute and has a decent selection, but that is not what got this place so many stars. It was the show. First, it was wildly informative and a lot of fun, but the most fun was the kilt. The presenter will call for a volunteer to get dressed up in a kilt. This is something you want... More

The city of Fort Augustus is really peaceful and beautiful. It’s a small village. You can simply enjoy a walk alongside the canal and then, when you see the Clansman Centre, you have to go there. When you enter the shop, you will take a step into the 17th century. They have recreated the atmosphere of typical Scottish house. The... More

Felt authentic, had the celtic cross I'd been looking for the last 2 weeks, handmade head wraps for kids and a GREAT antler collection that had the rubbed off end. Salesman was a true clan man, or at least gave that impression!

This small operation is mighty in cultural aspects. Learn all about the various Clans and Celtic Crafts. It's right on the Canal and is nice place step into and learn something new.

An interesting walk back in time with an informative and entertaining host who has an obvious passion for history. The actual kilt used in Braveheart is used to dress up a member of the audience and demonstrations of real weaponry then follow (without bloodshed). This was value for money and our kids loved it. It fills up with coach tours... More
