We went and the weather was terrible. There was a crash on the road delaying the tour bus from coming so they launched the boat with only 8 of us in it which was great. Very personal, the captain was very enthusiastic with some great info about the the Loch. Had a hot chocolate which was pretty good and enjoyed... More

Try the powerboat! A fantastic and refreshing way to discover the Loch Ness. The tour brings you up to Urquhart castle then back to Fort Augustus in just 1h30. Very friendly guide as well.

Our boat was called the Royal Scot and the one hour trip cost us £13 each for adults which I think is reasonable for a cruise out into the famous Loch Ness. There were seats upstairs and also downstairs inside the boat where there was a very nice bar service doing snacks soft drinks hot chocolate and a variety of... More

We arrived just as the 2.30pm sailing was about to cast off and were told that we could sit at the back of the boat. As we moved off we were choked by fumes however, as we went out onto the loch these dissipated and we were able to stand and enjoy the stunning scenery surrounding us. The commentary was... More

Lovely trip on the famous Loch Ness staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. Price of the trip was very reasonable £13 for around an hour. However prices of drinks on board were a bit expensive (£1.20 for a can of coke)

Stopped at Fort Augustus for an hour or so on a Rabbies coach tour and just had to go Nessie hunting on the boat trip. A great little trip out with friendly staff, great whiskey and hot chocolate on board. Still recovering from the skipper telling us about 8 foot trout found in the loch ! Great way to spend... More

Enjoyed our trip out onto Loch Ness with a very friendly and knowledgeable crew. Whilst we didn't sight Nessie they explained how their on board sonar worked and tantalised us with possible spots of 'something' much larger than the known fish in the loch. We did see a feral mountain goat !

As we were a mixed party including the wife and daughters we opted for the sedate cruise which I must say was a bit underwhelming. Highlight was an RAF Typhoon buzzing Fort Augustus before we got on the vboat which I missed with the cameras, would have been a great shot... Anyway the triup was uneventful, the boiat safe and... Booked a 30 minute taster trip on the speedboat and would definitely recommend to others. All the safety equipment you need is provided, along with snow suits to keep you warm on the water. If you go on a clear day the scenery is simply stunning - this is the best way to see Loch Ness.
