Description: This is a 5 star visitor attraction and retail complex. Loch Ness is...
This is a 5 star visitor attraction and retail complex. Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 6s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch's very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as "A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness". We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site.

Enjoyed the way in which the exhibition presented the history of the Loch Ness through film and other visual media. Some interesting myths busted, but enough left to keep us wondering!! The shops and galleries were plentiful for those who want momentos. thoroughly enjoyed the trip out on the loch with one of the research boats - the guide was... More

This is a film based tour which examines the "myth" of the Loch Ness Monster. The films shows the geological development of the British Isles and then explores the loch and the mystery around the monster. It is very well done and extremely interesting. It is a it expensive but still worth a visit

We saw the Loch Ness Centre & Exhibition as part of a Jacobite tour and were expecting extreme hokiness and a gift shop experience. In fact, the exhibition that takes you through six rooms of video presentation was heavy on debunking the myth and was straightforward in presenting the so-called "evidence." The scientists in my group were not rolling their... More

This museum offers timed "tours" through galleries that share the history of Loch Ness research. We found it semi-interesting. Amazed that people have spent so much time and money on the monster.

We decided to visit here after stopping at Loch Ness. The centre is interesting but it is a bit over priced for adult tickets considering it doesn't even last an hour to watch the videos.

The first thing its is located on the lake side which is most attractive place, even though if you don't want to stop but you will get stopped by the nature which surrounded by the lakes and the trees, really enjoyed

Stopped here for a visit while heading Fort William. really interesting tour of all the insights of nessie hunters from the past ..The machines and equipment used in years gone by makes this a well worth tour of the perils of which explorers went thro to find whatever was or is in the loch.

This museum is ok but very small and most of the things that you hear / see you can view online or see on documentaries on TV. I feel that to make this museum better perhaps they should invest in having some mechanical / moving props to educate people about the viewing of loch ness monster. More seating needed in... More
