Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 7s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch’s very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as “A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness”. We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site. « less

Very disappointing, save your money and visit the Castle far better the exhibtion is boring, dull and needs to wake up to the new technology that is available. More

You are entitled to your opinion but a glance at a few previous reviews shows that your opinion is not universal. Things like interest levels and attention span vary widely among individuals and depend upon many things such as personality, education and cultural background. Our use of theatrical technology is there to enhance ambiance and underscore factual information. It is... More

This was very informative, although if we had paid for this short information piece had it not been in with our hotel stay, then we probably would have felt a little short changed. All in all, the quality of the presentations was very good. More

Thank you for your comments on the quality of our presentations and the information content. Interestingly, we have found that the 35 min. duration for the tour is about right for the majority of potential visitors. It is remarkable how many people on holiday are actually in a hurry.Thank you for your comments on the quality of our presentations and... More

This tour is worth doing for the £7 it costs, it adds value to any trip primarily to get the scientific analysis of the Geology and history of the Loch. More

Thank you for commenting on the value for money. You also note that we are a Loch Ness exhibition and not a monster show. In this we aim to contribute to a sense of place and to provide an informative experience complementary to the scenery itself. More

It was a little frustrating to wait for the correct language option for the commentary. The sound was not very clear. On the whole it was very informative and well worth the visit. Enough parking space. More

We are pleased you found the exhibition informative. We feel that is our main purpose. Sorry you had to wait. Playing the full presentation to our overseas groups without the use of wands or earphones allows them to be fully immersed in the theatrical style. In the long run, it probably also saves time since there is no need to... More

The premise for this is about 6 rooms, and you go from one to the other watching/listening to the information about Nessie. I thought it was ok, the information was interesting, there just wasn't much there. Others in the group enjoyed it more though, to be fair, so I guess it depends on what your interests are. Certainly, you will... More

We are pleased you found the information content interesting. That is our main aim. The exhibits are there to complement this and no matter how unusually large or improbably small they may be…they are all real. More

Actually it’s 35 min and you can linger if you want to. Most people are concerned that our exhibition will be too long. Our timings seem to be the best compromise at the moment. More

Oh well, the facts are bound to be the same. But at Drumnadrochit you can also see and touch all the real objects which are symbolic of the phases of active investigation. More

Due to the rain we decided to visit this attraction. From what i had read i thought it wouyld be a more interactive experience and not just a selection of short films about certain aspects of Loch Ness and the Monster. I came away not really remebering most of what i saw. I would not really recommend this to people. More

We don’t have many interactive exhibits at the moment (though we will have) apart from some ambient theatrical ones. Designers do like interactives. However, our surveys of museums containing these show that adults defer to any children in the group and are reticent in interacting themselves. Also, children generally wait for movement and run on without learning the point being... More

We were a little disappointed with this. It said something like 'Best Attraction in the Highlands' however for what it was I feel it was overpriced and not interactive as expected. More

We won ‘The Best Visitor Experience’ during the Highland Tourism Awards a few months ago, it was not a self-description. What we offer is some insight into the phases of vigil and search through theatrical effects and real equipment. More
