Loch Ness is already the most famous lake in the world but our aim is to make it better understood. This is achieved through a fully audio visually guided 35 minute tour. The presentation is theatrical in style and integrates the real tools and archive footage from four decades of research. As part of our educational remit, under 6s go free. The facts are objectively explained and whilst keeping the mystery centre stage, we place it in the context of the loch's very unusual properties. Thus we are endorsed by Scottish Natural Heritage as "A portal to the unique natural phenomenon that is Loch Ness". We offer a huge range of retail onsite and boat cruises on Loch Ness in the summer months. There is also a large cafe and restaurant attached to the site. « less

A series of 5 rooms (I think!?) where each plays a short film, you move as a crowd to the next room as one finishes, then finally and little exhibition. It wasn't great but it's worth a visit if you'd like an informative history of Loch Ness and Nessie. The queuing system to buy tickets and queue to go in... More

An interesting exhibition and presentation which was presented in an unusual way. For a family of 5 it cost about £26. We were there just over the hour. Found out about how the loch was formed and the history of the sightings which was interesting.

It was raining, so we decided to visit. The building was very nice so I expected something similar to a museum but the exhibition was more an audio visual presentation with cheap looking fake lake interiors. Still, it told the main points of the monster legend well enough and I learned some interesting facts. It felt like there were a... More

While I understand that many might find the center and the whole Nessie Myth cheesy my family and I enjoyed it nonetheless. There was lots of interesting facts mixed in with all the fiction and it served as a great means to bring the whole family up to speed on the Loch Ness Monster story.

Fun exploration of Loch Ness. A little Disney like, but cute. Lots of good information about the monster and the "sightings"!

So we were lucky and got in a small group of 12 going through the rooms with our family of four kids. Yes, it was a bit pricey for a family at GBP22, but, the AV was high quality and the kids loved it, so much so that our four year old asked at the end to go through again!... More

On a rainy day, this was perfect to get indoors. The exhibition is mainly watching videos and moving from room to room. The facts are looked at in a scientific manner. I found the information to be interesting. At the end of the presentation, there is a room which gives some historical information on the events which have occurred around... More

Visited this afternoon and really enjoyed the wealth of information available here through the six video presentations and the hall that follows. I like that it presents facts yet allows for ambiguity rather than playing solely on the lore of the loch. Thought it would be a great place to visit with children. Also very well put together, both in... More

So you essentially become part of a moving pack of 20 people who enter one room after another with a unique video about the Loch. Its ok, but my son got bored very quickly and I thought that the information was overly science-y (and I'm a scientist!) and didn't feel I got any excitement from the presentation. And to be... More
