Excellent place for watching the salmon, bit they are not circus salmon... They do decide themselves when the conditions are right so don't expect to turn up and see loads of salmon within 5 minites. Do your homework. Went on the 26th and 27th of October following heavy rainfall and saw them naturally trying to make it to their spawning... More

This is one of those attractions that has been made out to be a bit bigger than it actually is. Thats not to say it isn't impressive, it probably is if you haven't seen a lot of water flowing before; but there are loads of places in Scotland where there are large and fast flows of water and many of... When there is enough water flowing, this is a wonderful spot to visit. The path down can be slippy but, the view is worth it. It can be dangerous and so watch with children.

An incredible stretch of river completed by fall colors. No salmon heading upstream on this day, but still didn't disappont. Five minutes past Glenalmond College.

They don't want too many folk down here! It's hard to find, badly signposted and even the actual sign by the attraction is overgrown with greenery. We saw one or two fish doing their thing, as they have been doing since time immemorial, and then we left.

We called at this spot after reading about it on the internet. There were no salmon - we waited for quite a while but there was nothing. We will have to go back next year. It was probably too early - I think it needed to rain to get them moving! Unbelievable place though.

hard to find and so far we have been to early for the jumping Salmon but a local we met said it could happen any day so we 're hoping to be lucky and will be going back while we're still here as it's one of natures wonders

This was in no way as easy to find as had been made out. The reviews provide more accurate descriptions than Trip Advisor's map did (although I've since tried to update it). If you're using a Sat Nav or Google Maps the best thing to do is enter Buchanty and follow the directions. You will approach on the B8063 and... More

We live very close to buchanty and often go there picknicken and puddling in the river which can be very fast flowing. Watch your step here, rocks get very slippery, my naughty Sons, age 22,24 go swimming there, it is not really allowed and not recommended but they say its absolutely brilliant. The salmon jump in autumn and a great... More
