Experience Scotland's Oldest Working Distillery

Recently named Whisky Visitor Attraction of the Year, Scotland's oldest working distillery offers a truly unique and authentic experience to visitors. Set in the heart of Perthshire, the distillery is only an hour from Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Making whisky by hand and by heart since 1775, visitors will experience the traditional handmade distilling processes that have been used to craft the whiskies at Glenturret Distillery for generations. Discover how the distillery's Glenturret single malt is carefully blended with other grain and malt whiskies to create the UK's No.1 whisky, The Famous Grouse.

Choose from a range of tour experiences. Sample a selection of fine whiskies in our Tasting Experience, enjoy exclusive entry to our bonded warehouses in the Warehouse Experience and blend your own whisky during an in-depth Blending Experience.

Taste our best in the newly launched Wilde Thyme at Glenturret cafe and restaurant where you will savour mouth-watering dishes created using local, seasonal ingredients including Strathearn Pie, a special dish created in honour of the recent Royal Visit of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

And be sure to visit our unique and welcoming shop. We stock a full range of superb single malts and blended whiskies including distillery exclusives such as the Bottle Your Own Glenturret single malt which you can bottle straight from the cask.

Whether you are looking for a unique distillery tour, a very special warehouse experience, or even the opportunity to blend your own whisky, Glenturret is the only distillery in Scotland able to offer a truly authentic, traditional whisky making experience.

We visited around 3:30pm on 10th February. My wife, daughter and I just made the last tour of the day. I am glad we decided to go. Niall our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and happy to take questions and spend time at the various areas. Having never taken an interest in how whisky is made I found the tour informative... Assistant in the shop was one of the nicest people in customer service I have ever met. She gave us a wee sample and we were encouraged to spend money and more time in the very active shop. lovely with a good mixture of product.Well worth a visit even if it is only to the shop and cafe.

Recently visited and really enjoyed it even though I'm not a big fan of whiskey! Our tour guide Niall was great! Explained all we wanted to know and more. Learning how to properly taste whiskey hasn't turned me into a whiskey drinker but I would do the tour again just for the fun of it!

A group of us visited the Wild Thyme restaurant and then booked on a one-hour tour. The restaurant is beautiful and 2-courses for £10 was an absolute bargain, coq-au-vin followed by Glenturret Whisky Queen of Puddings, both superb quality dishes. Lovely relaxing couches for a coffee afterwards. Niall our tour guide for the distillery was fantastic, even kept the teenagers... More

Our tour guide Jamie had all the history and the facts of each stage of the distillery process at his fingertips and managed to put them over in a thoroughly entertaining manner. He obviously has great enthusiasm for his work and this clearly transmitted to all of us being shown round. We've never been on a distillery tour before but... More

Whilst staying at The Crieff Hydro, my partner and I decided to visit Glenturret Distillery and The Famous Grouse Experience. Despite both growing up in Scotland, neither of us had visited a distillery and we weren't disappointed. Tour guide Jamie was informative without overloading us with information and answered questions from the group with ease! A 1-hour tour with 2... More

Even though Im not a whiskey drinker I decided to go on the tour. It was very interesting and informative and I certainly changed my views on how whiskey is distilled and at the end of the tour there is a whiskey tasting and it was great. Well worth a visit.
