we called here when on holiday in scotland and of course had to visit a whisky distillary. We had a very interesting humourous and informative tour given by our tour guide Gareth. The tasting was good and there was also a massive bottle of the famous grouse whisky on display with a film all about it. The cafe served a... More

This tour is good. The tour guide was funny and very informative. If you don't feel like going on the actual tour, you can pay 5 GBP to just have a taster session at their bar. I do think that the prices in the gift shop are a little bit pricey.

Every time we're in Perthshire - 2 or 3 times a year - we beat a trail to The Grouse Experience. We've not done the distillery tour for years BUT we lunch in the restaurant & always visit the shop. The staff are always friendly & efficient - no matter how busy they are!

Spent a day in Crieff so visited the famous grouse experience . It certainly was an experience for us . We visited their famous shop and bought four bottles of ginger grouse at £3.00 a bottle . After leaving the shop we visited Crieff VIsitor Centre and to our amazement they had the same bottle for sale at £2.50 .... More

Dear motherwell172, We're sorry to see your comments regarding our distillery's Ginger Grouse prices. As our Business Development Manager's letter to you (copied below) explained we are a small retailer operating at Scotland's Oldest Distillery and unfortunately it is not possible to offer the same heavily discounted prices as the larger chain stores stated in your review. We do our... More

Last went round Glenturret, now "The Famous Grouse" in the early 80's. It hasn't changed much as they still make it the same way, but the tour is still interesting, Staff are all knowlegable and the tastings are great - we preferred the single malt rather than the blended Grouse. Even the little ones get a tasting (irn bru). More... More

Recently had a tour of the Glenturret distillery, (The Famous Grouse Experience) the tour was very informative and interesting. Learned about the blending process (would'nt mind the job of master blender). The tour included a couple of tasters which warmed the cockles of the heart. Also had lunch in the attached restaurant which we thought was good value for the... More

Well organised tour of Glenturret Distillery which feeds the Famous Grouse with single malt whisky for the blended product. After the tour, take a walk up The Knock.

We spent a very wet & rainy afternoon at the distillery. Niall was knowledgeable & witty. He was also generous with the whiskey sample measures! After the tour we took the extended wine & chocolate pairing. My son who was 13 was offerred a soft drink with the chocolate...and we were given delicious truffles to take away with us. Before...
