Five of us visited the Glenturret Distillery outside Crieff for a day at the Famous Grouse Experience - I had organised a Tasting and Distillery Visit on the interternet some weeks previously - not the smoothest of tasks. I've visited a few Single Malt distilleries in Spring 2009 and I must say that Famous Grouse was the least interesting of these (maybe also because it was the last I saw and there was not much more to learn about distilling whisky without getting too technical). I recently visited the famous grouse experience while on holiday in Crieff with friends. It was fantastic! You must visit. We did the 'experience tour'. The staff were great, Mandy the tour guide in particular. The prices in the shop are good too and I didn't feel ripped off like you do at so many 'visitor attractions'. The best distillery... more
