Since 1898 the stills at Aberfeldy have produced a beautifully balanced single malt whisky, celebrated for its heather honey notes. Today this working distillery continues to provide the malt that lies at the very heart of the award winning Dewar's premium blends. Dewar's World of Whisky has reopened following major redevelopment and now features an all new cafe and brandstore! The new cafe boasts a locally sourced menu offering an extensive selection of freshly prepared hot and cold dishes based on the finest ingredients. There is an enhanced dramming bar, which provides a homely yet stylish retreat with hand-crafted furniture, large sofas and a cosy fireplace, the perfect place to sample the range. Tours of the Aberfeldy Distillery take place throughout the day - cask tasting, blending tours and bespoke private tours available. Free parking and foreign language leaflets available.

Lovely, modern visitor centre with friendly staff. The cafe is well worth staying for. Hot and tasty food freshly cooked and nicely presented. The cheese scones are divine and I can vouch for both the paninis and the jacket potatoes (two visits in a one week stay in the area, not all in one sitting!) I've been to the distillery... More

First of several other visit to Scottish Whisky distilleries and, yet, the best one. EVERYTHING was simply as perfect as I dreamed of. Great food while waiting for our tour to start, interesting exhibition, and taking the blending class was the best idea ever. Great teachings about how to blend a Whisky and the differences that pass through the blending... More

We chose the connoisseurs tour which was fab and we both thoroughly enjoyed it especially the interactive museum. The tour in the warehouse was extremely well delivered by Dorothy who was lovely and well informed. Also top quality service from Donald. Very happy customers and we even left with a bottle of aberfeldy 12! Highly recommend. £25 for connoisseurs, £15... More

No pre-fixed tour times. Just show up and the staf will give a personalised tour of the distillery. Good exhibition center. Good selection of whiskies and related merchandise (quech's, glasses, books) to purchase. Good restaurant for a snack / coffee. Impressive to see the angel's share of a 21 year old Aberfeldy. No wonder they are flying high...

Just passing through and decided to use the cafe for a snack. Soup and a sandwich well priced for the size of helpings. The cafe is comfortable and is in the main hall of the distillery shop. At the moment, they do not have a bar licence - if you do the distillery trip, you get a free dram at... More

I would recommend a tour to Dewar's World of Whisky. You won't be disappointed. After an enjoyable snack lunch in the shop/bar area we took the standard tour with an excellent guide. The museum is well laid out with plenty to see and hear about. The staff gave us a detailed explanation to the whisky before we sampled. I particularly... More

This was our last stop on a day tour of this area of Scotland. We popped in and purchased some connoisseur passes for the tour. It pays off at the end, wait for it. Our day tour driver got us a private tasting just before we joined a huge busload of people going through the distillery. At the end of... More

Firstly, the place is well laid out and presented. The standard tour includes museum tour, distillery tour and a tasting. The museum is a great way to learn more about the history of the whisky and you also get handheld devices that explain the different displays. Distillery tour was very informative and interesting. Tasting - 25ml tasting of a choice... More
