Unfortunately tours of the Distillery will not be available during this time. Since 1898 the stills at Aberfeldy have produced a beautifully balanced single malt whisky, celebrated for its heather honey notes. Today this working distillery continues to provide the malt that lies at the very heart of the award winning Dewar's premium blends. « less

Although neither of us are whisky connoisseurs, we decided to pop into Dewar's World of Whisky for something different to do. What a pleasant surprise! It had only reopened after a total visitor centre refurbishment a couple of days before, and for £7.50 for an adult (which includes a wee dram of Dewar's finest at the end plus discount on... More

We also visited the centre yesterday to find it closed having also checked their website. We should have checked Tripadvisor first I guess. Oh well a lengthy detour and round-trip to Famous Grouse in Crieff (who were also mid refurb but still open) meant the whole day wasn't wasted. Not acceptable to say you are still experiencing technical difficulties with... More

Many thanks for your review. I can confirm that we are currently closed for a major redevelopment – the entire shop, café and admissions are being refurbished to enhance our visitor experience. For safety reasons we are not able to allow visitors access at this time, but we will reopen very shortly. However I can also confirm that the issues... More

A wet day in October was saved by a visit to this centre. Really interesting well presented tour of the Whiskey distillery. A great coffee shop to round off the trip - which we have been back to! Well worth a look suitable for families.

I would definitely recommend a visit to this distillery and it is a good place to spend a couple of hours if the weather turns bad. The tour is very interesting but the best bit is the samples of whiskey at the end.

Went here as part of a Birthday trip. Staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The museum itself just focuses on the Dewars brand but is very well done and presented excellently. Our guide (I forget his name) was funny and interesting. It makes a difference having someone enthusiastic showing you around. The tea room/cafe is well priced and offers some great... More

Delighted to hear that you enjoyed your visit and found the team to be friendly and your guide to be enthusiastic! Our founder John Dewar was born less than 2 miles from the Aberfeldy Distillery and our heritage centre offers visitors the chance to find out more about the local man who created a global brand. Once again, thank you... More

What a lovely place to visit. Plenty of tours to choose from. We chose the one that gives you a generous dram out of the cask in the warehouse which was delicious. I loved the heritage centre which housed the company archives. Our tour guide Donald was great. Cant recommend it highly enough.

Wasn't overly keen and enthusiastic when my partner said we were stopping here but I started it off by having a cake and a cup of tea in the coffee shop which was very tasty!! We then booked ourselves on the tour, which included a taster of the whiskey. The tour was run by a women who was very clear,... More

A truly first-class distillery tour, a beautiful setting and an excellent coffee shop as well. Tour guide Donald was excellent, humorous and informative, and clearly loves the product he's promoting : ). Overall well worth a visit and highly recommended. Oh yes and the generous dram was also very nice.
