Whilst the tour itself is similar to most distilleries, the tour guide was pleasant, helpful and knowledgable. I chose the option of the £25 package and this is where it is a cut above the rest. Not only do you get the standard tour, you also get a dram straight from the cask (cask strength and probably more like two... More

Tour was very informative however lots of stairs were difficult. Although I do not drink whiskey it was still a good place to visit.

Husband and I really enjoyed the visit to Dewars, from start to finish it is really geared up to the visitor despite being a working distillery. The main bar/cafe/gift shop area is stunning and really well done out, with some lovely gifts at a variety of prices for those that love whiskey (bought my dad a great birthday present!). The... As 4 non-whisky drinkers, we weren't too sure how enjoyable this would be, but we are delighted to be proved wrong!! It was fantastic. Our tour guide (Sasha, I think?) was FANTASTIC. She answered all questions, and truly knew her stuff. When we told her we weren't keen on whisky, we were offered a cocktail instead of a dram, and... More

We did the basic tour (£7.50) which started with an audio guide in a "museum" area at your own pace. Very informative and plenty to see and learn about. You finish in the coffee shop where a taster is given and a small discount on some whiskeys if you produce your ticket (up to £3 off). The staff were very... More

My husband and I went along for a tour and after some deliberation settled on trying the cask tasting tour. We were very impressed at the 'museum' part that gives you the history of the Dewar family - interesting, attractive and informative. After sampling Dewars White Label and Aberfeldy whisky we were taken on a tour of the distillery by... More

We were recommended to this attraction by a Scotsman we met on our travels. What great advice that was. Even though we didn't wish to do a tour of the distillery (we had been to few already) the remarkable chap who served us coffee was kind enough to take great care of us by personally providing us with a complimentary... Self guided tour through the history of Dewar, followed by a guided tour around the distillery and topped off with a few tastings. Beautiful location.

Had a fantastic day out at Aberfeldy distillery today. The newly renovated Shop/Bar/Cafe is a brilliant addition to this great Whisky visitor centre. We had a very enjoyable tour of the working distillery, guide was very knowledgeable, clear and gave detailed answers throughout the visit. The choice to do the tasting session either before or after the tour is also... More

Basically informative exhibition area, and we really enjoyed our tour guide. But Dewars just isn't that interesting of a distillery. Owned by Bacardi, very large commercial operation, more emphasis on blended than single malt whisky. On the upside, I did get to sample the "Unraveled" bottling, and that instantly became one of my favorite single malts.
