Today this working distillery continues to provide the malt that lies at the very heart of the award winning Dewar's premium blends. Dewar's World of Whisky has reopened following major redevelopment and now features an all new cafe and brandstore! The new cafe boasts a locally sourced menu offering an extensive selection of freshly prepared hot and cold dishes based on the finest ingredients. There is an enhanced dramming bar, which provides a homely yet stylish retreat with hand-crafted furniture, large sofas and a cosy fireplace, the perfect place to sample the range. Easy to get to, good parking and disabled access is excellent. Good shop and cafe, although it does have a very commercial feel to it. If you dont take the tour you cannot have a tasting - even if you offer to pay - which is weird. having just come from Islay and the over friendlyness of the islanders and... More

Quite expensive to visit, however the tour is really worth it. All the installations are really well described during a 30mn guided tour, then visitors are welcome to enter a theatre to see a video about Dewar's experience in Whisky making. Then a 15mn self guided tour is allowed in a nice and modern area inside the distillery, describing the... More

We had taken one of the one day tour of Rabbies -Tour operator of Small Groups in Edinburg. As a highlight of the tour visit to a Scotch Whisky distillery was arranged. We visited Aberfeldy Distillery -Dewars and part of Bacardi Group. As it was silent period of the distillery we could not see the distillery in operation. But we... More

We planned our cycle trip through Skye and top part of Scotland visiting and tasting whisky at Distilleries along the way. We arrived at Dewars around lunch time. We were met with the most friendly people. Once again they explained that you had to do a whisky tour in order to taste which we understood. We were still welcomed into... More

Good staff and interesting guide. Tour is very interesting and the bar/cafe area is lovely to sit and relax in, so leave time for that. You start by watching a film (which did feel a bit like subliminal advertising) and go through a museum which is about the family history. Bit contrived to be honest and not that gripping. You... Just so happened we arrived and it was quiet, so we had a private tour for two people, really enjoyed it and was impressed with the overall tour/cafe and tastings. Very well put together tour and would recommend to others to go spend a few hours enjoying themselves.

This is worth a visit if you're nearby, but I wouldn't go out of my way to do it. It's about 8 pounds (Glenlivet is free and cooler), and I'm guessing that the money is to pay for the recent renovation to the museum area. But the museum is more about how awesome the Dewars family was, and not really... More

What a great place to visit. The museum part is so well laid out and the hand held information tapes are extremely well done. The actual tour part was interesting and informative complete with an option for a taster. Coffee shop is clean and the local made fruit scones are to die for with the jam and clotted cream. Yummy!... More
