4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014 NEW

Visited for 1st time since it reopened so a lot had changed! Loved the layout, the range of books and art work on sale, could have made lots of purchases and will do in the future. Cafe downstairs which you can reach from outside (we failed to see that). Good prompt service, good menu choice & prices. Very tasty filled... More

Wonderful find. The staff in the cafe were fabulous, a real find and a must go to place if you are in the area.

We visited the Watermill twice on our recent holiday to Aberfeldy. The service was ok, not particularly friendly in the coffee shop but efficient enough. The atmosphere and relaxed surroundings are what stand out. The coffee is acceptable, however, as someone else stated, choice of cakes limited and very expensive. We shared our cakes and they were happy to give... More

We popped in for a coffee, but gave up as it was far too busy in a small area. It is very old, but didnt see any water, apart from a hidden river at the bottom of the hill

Every time it visit this area I make sure to visit the Watermill. I love the "nooks and crannies" layout of the bookshop and the staff are very helpful. Yes, the cafe is a little pricy but the soup I had last time was lovely. We stumbled upon it by accident the first time but, if I wanted to open... More

We arrived on a sunny day and sat ourselves outside and waited patiently to be asked what we would like to drink - and then we waited some more, and then some more and then some more After 15 mins of watching the waitress clear the tables around us, wipe them down, ask the new arrivals what they would like... When visiting Aberfeldy we always make a point of visiting the Watermill where we can be assured of a good cup of coffee and excellent home made cake. It has a very relaxed and comfortable atmosphere and a great place to sit and unwind after a day's outing. There is sometimes a bonus of an interesting exhibition on the upper... More

I Can't express my true happiness and delight when I was feeling low and tired after working along day in Beautiful Kenmore, I knew I needed a pick me up to help me get home. Being a local in Aberfeldy I'd like to say what excellent service I received and how friendly the staff were to me. They always are.... More

We have been here twice recently on cold rainy days (10/05/14) and it was cold inside. There is a woodburner inside which appears to be for decoration only. In Scotland on a rainy day, you need the fire on, even in summer, take note owners! It lacked the atmosphere and warmth that could easily been offered by the fire being... More

Hi Jack Thanks for giving us 4* despite the cafe not feeling cosy on your recent visit. I can assure you the fire isn't for decoration - we burn tons of wood each year - but when you visited we were waiting for a new fire guard before we light it again. Unfortunately being an old building, turning the heating... More
