The watermill and associated bookshop and cookshop are full of interesting and unusual features and items to purchase - we spent quite a while having a good browse around, and then had a great coffee with delicious cake before moving on. Staff were really helpful, and service was great.

Had lunch there yesterday (11 oct), it was very nice however, when about to order for my 6 and 2 yr old boys, the waitress explained they could do a children's sandwich on brown bread and suggested cheese. I ordered this and was asked "one to share?" to which I agreed. The food arrived TWO cheese seed type rolls and... More

We popped in here for a coffee after a day of driving a lot and needing a pick me up. It was just after 4.pm and it seemed all the other coffee shops we tried to visit (coffee garden was one of them) were closing and said we couldn't come in, so when we saw the watermill open we felt... More

This is a great browse. There is an excellent range of books and some really unusual volumes. I could spend the day in here quite easily. The selection of scottish books would be hard to equal anywhere. Apart form that there is a lovely café where they really know their coffee. The home baking is also first rate. Try the... More

Lovely layout, plenty for all to look at and read. The art gallery upstairs displayed some outstanding pieces. Beautiful coffee shop and restaurant too.

Fantastic bookshop - see previous reviews/awards. So many books to choose from, extensive selection, with unusual titles, not just popular titles. Lots of local history. Great cafe and food. Lovely staff. A fire, I believe, in the winter. Nice place to while away some time. Very good almond milk hot chocolate! Homer - homewares - is next door, with some... More

I've visited the bookshop twice during my trips to the area. It's a wonderful activity for a rainy day. They have a delightful selection of books, including local/Scottish reading material, and a pleasant coffee shop.
