Nice place and warm too. Realistic prices, unlike some others. Well worth a visit, also has books etc for sale.
If you love books, this is the place to be. Lots of choice with the addition of a great cafe in the basement. Good menu with a fantastic choice of teas. The coffee is good too!
I live local and visit the watermill at least once weekly. They have many unusual teas and coffees to offer .It is quite small but cosy and the wood burner on in the cold days. There are books there that you can look at and some toys for the smaller children. The food is very nice though a bit pricey. Small and perhaps a bit cramped due to it's location on the ground floor of an old watermill, this venue provides a welcome and very pleasant place to pause in the scottish mountains. It can be busy and parking can be a bit of a trial but the freshly produced snacks, cakes and beverages make it a favourite place to... More
The Watermill used to be the only decent place for coffee / lunch in Aberfeldy and judging by how busy it was, people still think it is. Whilst lunch was ok, £6.90 for a fancy, but tiny sandwich was an outrage. For better value, go to The Birks or Habitat cafe down the road.
You can spend a pleasant afternoon here - browsing the books, admiring the art and eating in the café. There is even a sister shop selling items for your home which is worth a visit. If it is warm you can even sit outside and doze.
Brilliant bookshop in an attractive setting. Huge mix of books to browse. Lovely homeware shop next door. Clean loos. Good coffee, excellent homemade cake, efficient service. Nice sandwiches but thought they were a little overpriced. If you like a good bookshop and are in the area it is definitely worth a trip.
This is our third visit to Aberfeldy and our third visit to the Watermill. We look forward to browsing through the wonderful range of books and CDs in a relaxing environment; once again we were not disappointed this time. We had coffee and cake in the downstairs cafe: excellent. We could probably buy books cheaper from Amazon, but you can't... More
When we entered, we felt welcome and the place has a relaxed atmosphere. We didn't buy anything on this occasion, but feel that if we come again, we would sample a coffee and cake. Books, music and an art gallery. A great place to go if it's wet or cold - or even if it's not!
This is a lovely little bookshop in a very unexpected location. Due to the quirkiness of the building there is a limit to the quantity of stock that this shop can carry but what is here is very well thought out, covers a wide spectrum of topics and is comfortably laid out. Due to it's size this is a very... More
