We booked a mountain safari but unfortunately on the day having had a very tasty lunch at the cafe we set off in driving rain up the mountain in a 4X4 with 4 other passengers. Our guide Tommy did his best to make our safari interesting- a difficult task when mist obscured the views and there was a paucity of... More

Great afternoon went on a forest safari with two children and a grandma. They provide a step to get in and out of the Land Rover. Our ranger Colin was very good at finding nature birds and deer poo. He is very good with children ( age 5 and 7) and grandmas too. Cafe excellent nice atmosphere recommend Stornaway black... More

There are loads of activities on offer here that we'd love to try but having two small children, we were limited this time to the gold panning, play area and cafe. Brilliant value and great fun for us all amidst truly beautiful scenery. The staff (all of them) treated us like long lost friends and were very genuine. Cafe was... More

Who wouldn't be excited after seeing a herd of 150+ deer at 3000ft cross the road in front of your jeep! A sight I will never forget. We also had the luxury of 2 guides and they were able to tell us many interesting things about the geology, biology and history of our surroundings. Everything was taken care off, from... More

We arrived after a torrential downpour with low expectations, but after checking in with the lovely staff and ordering our lunch, we stepped outside to meet and fed the Red Deer. What an experience, getting up close and learning all about these beautiful animals! Then we stepped inside and enjoyed our amazing burgers in the cafe (although I did feel... More

Amazing scenery. Shop/café and visitors centre could keep you entertained for a day on its own. Thoroughly enjoyed the driving, although the intro is only for an hour and I could have happily done it for a whole day. The instructor Colin was extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. Would go back, but for a longer stint next time.
