I've wanted to make the trip to Rosslyn Chapel for ages, but this was the first chance we've had the time to actually visit. It was easy to hop on the bus from Edinburgh, and only a short walk to the chapel. Watch your time, because the return bus only came once an hour on the day we were there.... more

Toured Rosslyn Chapel last Tuesday, and loved every square inch! Must be seen to be believed, and is very well presented/documented. Beautiful place, fabulous history to soak up. Entire upper section under ugly scaffolding at present for restoration, but upside of this is that you can hike to top of scaffolding and see exterior details---more carving up there! I'm in agreement with the other reviewer. Rosslyn is easy to get to by the bus...although you may want to keep track of the returning bus times when you arrive. We just missed one and had to wait an hour for the next one, and there is nothing to Roslin the village except two inns with restaurants/pubs. Rosslyn was almost... more

A few bus lines run from Princess St. to Rosslyn then a short walk to the chapel. Small entrance fee. They were in the midst of a restoration of the outside so we were able to take stairs up and walk around on the scafolding - amazing. Try to time it for the tour - the guide will point out... more
