Beautiful Butterflies

Wow this was definitely worth going to with my niece the butterflies were stunning and lots of them. It certainly did help with her homework to design a poster.

We visited here with our 2 children aged 10 and 13. From the moment we stepped into the centre i was mesmerised. There was butterflies flying freely around the enclosure, many of which were happy to land close by or on our arms etc. There was even a hands on session where we could hold a tarrantular, millipede and snake. It... More

We coincidentally visited at a time when we were able to handle some of the creatures - we held a python, a tarantula and a huge millipede. The member of staff running the session was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic, and it was clear that he enjoyed his job. The butterfly house is lovely - you can wander freely amongst the... More

Spent a thoroughly entertaining and educational morning here with 5 kids between the ages of two and seven. As noted in other reviews, staff member Kevin is a genuine star, worth the entrance fee on his own. Why he doesn't have his own TV show is beyond me.

It says come and spend the day !!!! Although there were elements of the place that took a little while you really could not spend any more than 2 hours (very max) here, the butterfly enclosure is okay but nothing special, at the back you go into the reptile and insect part, we were greeted by a young guy who... An interesting 2 hour visit viewing and strolling among butterflies in their natural environment. Nothing spectacular but the girls loved the outing.

for me, it doesnt have enough of a wow factor, the first word is butterfly in the title and i saw some but not the hundreds i expected. I do not know if this is a seasonal thing. But there is a lot more to this place as well with other creatures and the ants are amazing to watch.

I have been coming here since I was a child, although it is not as good as it used to be it was still enjoyable. Lovely little shop on entrance, and its not expensive to get in. The place is now a little run down and could do with a bit of a revamp but for what you pay to... More

This is priced as a day out yet you can easily be in and out in half an hour. There were hardly any butterflies and they are supposed to be the main attraction. Parts of it just needs a bit of love and attention as it's looking old, shabby and even empty. Having said that, I would add that the... More
