I have visited Deep Sea World since it first opened and always enjoy the opportunity to get a close look at exotic fish as well as native species found in British waters. Yesterday we took it a stage further and took part in a dive experience which was a big hit and very well organised. The staff took care of... more

I have been visiting Deep Sea World since it opened, and I was a Season Pass holder for many years, but as I grew up I visited less and less. The aquarium itself has never been large – at best you might only spend a couple of hours there, but the quality of the displays, and presentation has always made... more

This is not a cheap place to visit but I think it offers reasonable value for money (unless you are not interested in wildlife). My kids found it very interesting and extremely educational. There is a lot to see and the staff were very friendly and informative. The main down side is the very unimaginative food in the drab and... more

I really love aquariums and I was looking forward to visit the much advertised Deep Sea World. It was a complete disappointment… The aquarium was so small I couldn’t believe I had spent so much money to see so little. The main tunnel with the sharks was indeed very impressive but it was the only thing worth seeing. Everything else?... more

We enjoyed a few hours at Deep Sea World. The enclosure with sharks and rays was a hit with our kids. They also enjoyed the seals. It's not as big as we imagined though. The major problem was the very steep hill that provides access to and from Deep Sea World from the train station. It was a difficult trek... more

I am totally shocked at the review posted by the dis-gruntled gentleman. Deep Sea World is one of Scotlands top attractions, and rightly so! They host a series of informative and educational presentations though-out the week, varying these depending on the day. To say they are not interested in animal welfare is hugely untrue. Face painting is FREE -however they... more

Contrary to the review that has been written here, I have to say Deep Sea World is fun, family friendly place that gives all ages an action packed, intresting day out. I saw a seal talk and the seal feed, I saw the divers feeding the sharks, I think this happens on a sat and a wed. The presenters were amazing... more

If you have half an hour to spare and you like fish this may be okay for you. The best thing is the hugh shark pool with a walk through tunnel - shame the sharks weren't bigger and more of them. The sadest thing was the seal pool. Boring, concrete hell for two sad looking seals. There was no body... more
