On our trip back from Florida we decided to finally stop at the Jack Daniel's Distillery. We were so impressed with this free tour. Our guide Ron was exactly what you would expect a tour guide to be funny, informative, and authentic. The town of Lynchburg has a lot of shops to find everything and anything Jack Daniel's. more

I've been on any number of distillery/winery tours and can honestly say that Jack Daniels was the weakest - interesting but far from informative. The "history" is mostly mythology and inaccurate, e.g., "just like Gentleman Jack" doesn't quite do justice to the facts of the use of continuous stills since WWII (unlike the pot-stills shown in the visitor area), the... more

I never thought I would have an opportunity to actually tour the Jack Daniels distillery but on a vacation to Nashville in Sept/09 a side trip to Jack Daniels was a must. At the time we arrived a tour had just started and we caught up with the group as the movie was finishing. A small bus took us to... more

This was a fantastic tour led by our fabulous and knowledgeable tour guide Dusty. Beautiful original buildings on lovely land, well worth the visit. Resonably priced too and you get free lemonade after the tour also! Highly recomended more

I have always been a Jack Daniels Fan and had always attempted (along with friends) to sample copious amounts and as many varieties as possible. However, I was truly astounded at how fascinating the distillery was and the guide really knew what she was talking about. We went into Lynchburg and had some Lunch after and can say it was... more

I was completely shocked at the this tour. It was much more organized, informative, interactive than I had imagined. Jon, our tour guide was very friendly and filled us in on lots of interesting facts. The tour was free and pictures were allowed. This really was a first class operation. I have never had a sip of whisky before in... more

I went to the Jack Daniels Distillery on December 10, 2008 with my mother and my son and we thoroughly enjoyed the visit! The main building is just beautiful and full of history and it is surrounded by trees and a running brook in the front. Just the views alone were worth being there. The tour was free and was... more

We visited the distillery on a Friday afternoon. It was a 70 mile trip (1 hour, 24 minutes) from our Nashville Hotel to the area. Once you drive past Shelbyville, the countryside is breathtaking and absolutely gorgeous – very well worth the effort. I do not drink and was not sure if the tour would glorify drinking, partying, etc. It... more

We toured on a Saturday , early afternoon. There were a lot of people visiting, but we picked up our tour number and didn't have to wait very long. We enjoyed the tour--although we are non-drinkers, it was very informative and our tour guide, Travis, was great--really knowledgable about the process and was very funny. I guess I had forgotten... more

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Having been on many winery tours, we thought this would be your typical "schlepp through with 100 other people". No way! It was the most organized tour attraction we've ever been through. Others have described the routine, so I won't repeat here. But it's hard to believe Jack Daniels does this so well and FOR... more
