This is an old historic distillery that is probably outgrowing its space. They have free tours throughout the day and a bus takes you to the top and you make your way back to the visitor center. You see the charcoal making facility, spring water at the source, film on barrel making, the distillery, and packaging. This is an interesting... More

We visited Lynchburg on August 12 enroute to Decatur. This stop was the highlight of our visit to Tennessee. My husband and I took the sampling tour ($10) which allowed us to taste Gentleman's Jack, No 7, and Single Barrel reserve. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and you can she enjoyed working for the company. After we were done... More

We did the extended tour($10) with a tasting. Our guide was from the area and we had a blast learning how JD was made. A must!

Best free attraction available near Nashville. The distillery also offers a Tasting Tour during select times which do cost $10 which you receive a 1 ounce sample of a select product. (Lynchburg is a dry County so they can't sell liquor but you can purchase sealed bottles of select products to take home). The tour is well timed , informational... More

We had the free tour at the destillery and didnt expect that much, just a quick tour through a couple of buildings. We got the whole tour, with an awsome guide that had all these little details on how JD startet up and how the business evolved. Gave a good insight into how the process of making whiskey is. Worth... More

We visited Jack Daniels Distillery on an extremely busy Saturday, August 16, 2014. They do an incredible job scheduling groups for tours every 15 minutes. Today we opted for the new Sampling tour so we could actually sample a few of the whiskey products. Our tour guide, Michael, was very knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. Although we had visited the distillery... More

We drove out of our way to take my daughters to tour this distillery and they had a blast. Jason was our guide and he did a great job. Oh yeah its free...if you have the time walk down town it is quite cute and got some good fudge.

We travelled to lynchburg on a detour to our stay in Nashville and for me it was the highlight of our visit to Tennessee. We took the drink sampling your which ended with a tasting session of three different varieties of jack. The tour guide was very knowledgable and you can tell that the staff enjoy working for the company.... More

The tour was free unless you want the tasting tour. Very informative. There are stairs not accessible for handicapped. The property is beautiful and you can buy whiskey there despite it being a dry county. We had our bottle personally engraved. the town square is two blocks away and very quaint and worth a visit.
