Hugely enjoyable golf, splendid clubhouse and warm welcome await at Crail Golfing Society. Founded in 1786 and the seventh oldest golf club in the world, it celebrated its 225th anniversary in 2011. The club has two courses: Balcomie Links, a unique, traditional links laid out by Old Tom Morris, and Craighead Links, a challenging links experience designed by 2009 Golf Course Architect of the Year Gil Hanse.

Great vibe - lovely courses and classy clubhouse. Stay at nearby Balcomie Links Hotel. The experienced was fueled by the ongoing Ryder Cup event and what a thing to sit in the restaurant between rounds and watch the match play from Gleneagles. Then we went to the finals on Sunday when Europe won the titel!

The old course at Crail is the one to play. Lots of elevated tees, fast running fairways and undulating greens. The par 3's are superb and varied. The rest of the course is friendly if no wind, but challenging if it blows, which is often, take you low links game. Clubhouse and catering are superb and very different from when... More

Just back from another great weekend here. The courses are in top condition and the service and hospitality are top class. If you're looking for somewhere to go for a golf outing, this place more than ticks all the right boxes

Two great golf courses in the East Neuk of Fife. Great location with wonderful views especially from the Balcomie course. A fine club house overlooking the courses and the coastline. Excellent staff in the clubhouse

Played a great round on the Craighead course on New Years Eve - course was in great condition, greens great and was a real pleasure to play. Challenging with the wind. Clubhouse was super with views to die for Balcomie course next time - hopefully soon!

We played the Balcomie on a very windy day with 30mph gusts and still came back with smiles on our faces. I loved the variety of holes and the stunning views. We were a family group with handicaps of 5, 17, 18 and 27 and we all enjoyed the course. There are a number of risk /reward holes which are... More

Played at Crail yesterday (4th December), the course was in superb condition, no mats, we were lucky that it was a lovely day but it has to be said the course was magnificent. Also many thanks to Graeme Lennie for looking after us, a true Professional, thank you.

Played Balcomie links sunday past with GolfScotland movember charity event. Course was in tremendous condition for the time of year. Greens were running true and fast and were a delight to putt on. Fairways were also excellent especially as no winter mats were in use. I have played a lot of links courses up and down the east coast of... More

Crail Courses are well worth the visit, and the club hospitality is second to none. However if its a blowing a hooley, make sure you take your " A " game or lots of balls. For non Golfers the scenery is still worth walking around.
