The Balcomie course runs along the coastline with wonderful views across the Tay Estuary in the distance. It is a wonderful holiday treat to play golf on this old links which can trace its roots back to 1786, especially if the sun is shining and the east wind does not blow. It is kept in very good condition with petrol... More

We played the Craighead course on 09/07/2014. Weather was fantastic, sunny with very light wind. Apparently, these are unusual conditions. Played from the yellow tees. The course is well maintained. The greens in particular are tricky and fast. Wasn't so keen on the fairways, which had a meadow type feel to them, not the tight lies we experienced on other... More

Played the seashore course and found it a delight. Well kept without being manufactured. Stunning clubhouse with friendly staff and reasonably priced food and drink. Not stuffy by any means which can be very off-putting for the visitor. The course is a wee gem, a challenge without being overwhelming or impossible. Wonder what it's like when the wind blows! The... If you're coming to Scotland you have to play here - both courses. A challenge with beautiful views and excellent service all the way from the pro shop to the dining facilities. We've played Kingsbarns up the road several times but for the value and great golfing experience this golf club is the place to be.

Played the Balcomie course twice and enjoyed it very much. The course was in good shape, the members and pro shop/clubhouse staff were all very cordial and inviting and the views on a sunny day are breathtaking! This course is not expensive to play and is a lot of fun, while also presenting a challenge when the wind is up.... More

These two courses are brilliant and are a must play for any golfer. Well laid out holes with stunning views both being a good test for all levels of play. The staff were very helpful and friendly. One of our group had a major problem with his car, the office staff rallied round and helped with contact numbers etc. the... More

Just came back from a three day outing over the May bank holiday. There were eight of us in our party and we all had a most enjoyable time. We played two rounds over the longer, newer course and one on the older. I personally preferred the older course. Everything from the welcome at the pro shop to the service... More

Played here earlier in the week. A great layout using what are natural contours of the land. You get the feel of playing somewhere unaffected by the current demands for longer courses. Condition very good and club were very welcoming. It was a pleasure to play the Balhomie Course even though we got very wet. Just one word of "warning".... More
