I have been fascinated by Lawrence of Arabia since watching the film as a child, and visiting here made me even more interested. The house (if you can call it that) is tiny, but so homely, with beautiful interiors. There is a very good exhibition in the motorcycle shed that should also be noted. Here you can learn about the... Strange place this. As a place it is very simple and rather austere. But as you are drawn into its history - and the life of TE Lawrence – it sort of opens up and you’re aware of the huge life that was there - Lawrence himself and many intriguing people, as well as a period in time that in... This small cottage was the home of T E Lawrence (Lawrence of Arabia). This is our second visit, we were quite moved first time and felt we had to come back. If you have any interest what so ever in british history this place is a must. It is very small but there are also displays about his life in... More

A most interesting character from British history, who clearly wanted nothing more than a simple life away from the pressure of politics. Clouds Hill was his answer, but sadly for only a brief period. The staff were most knowledgeable and more than willing to discuss his life and work, not just recite the potted history of T E Lawrence. Well... More

... But not a lot to see. The guides know more, but you will need to ask them, the information is not readily forthcoming.

The site is a small house with a garage. Lawrence was a hero of mine so I just had to visit in passing. The house is as he left it and there is not too much to see but the atmosphere is great and the knowledgeable staff are what made it a very good visit. If not for the staff... More

A small humble hideaway which leaves a large impact in the realisation of what lies behind a very great man - a massive hero to a lot of older generation. TE Lawrence preferred solitude and abstinence, living a private and secluded life in a dwelling which you wouldn't have fitted with such a hero.

We didn't plan to visit here but stumbled upon it on the way to another NT property. It was very informative and was a lovely place for a picnic on the top of the hill.

Real boys own stuff, inginously constructed and a real insite into the character of lawerence, near boddingtn tank museum and hardys cottage, could combine visits
