Wanted to come here for years and wasn't disappointed. Going to come back in the spring to see the cygnets. Lots of information and much more than just swans, many ducks and birds around the reserve. Great to walk around the site, good pathways all level and great views, also hides to have a sit down and many benches.

I spent several hours visiting the Swannery - the swans were hatching and it was advisable not to get too close when eggs were visible but not yet hatched.

Love coming here with my daughter, partner and her grandparents. It's the second time we have been here and each time is just as fascinating and interesting as the time before. We did the passport tickets so went to the children's farm and sub tropical gardens as well. But expensive but worth every penny

Am shocked to read that they would allow a hunt in! We spent a very happy half day there at half term , arrived in time to see the mass feeding which was a rare sight, and staff were great checking all kids had a go at feeding the swans. Lovely nature walk on site with viewing platform over chess... More

Visited the Swannery whilst staying in Abbotsbury. Only had just over an hour available, and the price seems very high for the facilities that are on site. No reduction for "seniors".

I have never been to a swannery before and wasn't sure what to expect, but the sight of so many of these magnificent birds together was fantastic. We got there for feeding time which made it even more so. The setting by Chesil sandbank is also very impressive, with lots of other sepcies of ducks and waterbids in evidence. We... More

Interesting visit. Lots of information available. Quite expensive entry fee. We enjoyed seeing the great variety of water birds that were also to be seen.

If you can get a good deal off Groupon for this definitely go. We got a deal for the swannery the farm and the gardens. We headed to the swannery first and got there just in time for the feeding. It was great to watch so many swans! Kids were entertained watching them waddle about and they had a maze... More

We thoroughly enjoyed everything about all the facilities and stayed for 4 hours with our girls. Lovely walk to the swans and the little ones really liked feeding the swans. The maze was great with all sorts of activities for the children to try if they could find it! Small robust pedal go-karts were also fun. Best of all were... More

Visit the swannery for a relaxing afternoon, watching the swans, ducks, coots and Canadian geese coming and going, stay for the feeding. Lovely setting and enjoyed the walk, however do eat before you arrive, we made the mistake of having lunch before going down to the waters edge. Ploughmans lunch consisted of a whole apple, grated cheese, limp dry salad... More
