Good welcome upon arrival, good value for money, goods views and some very good testing holes. Like the variety of holes offered and not a lot to dislike

Good points: Warm Welcome, Cheap, good for beginners, not stuffy, not difficult. Bad points: Poor course maintenance. Quite simply it used to be a lot better. I could go into great detail. Poor maintenance across the board. I have played here before more than once over the years and it was very disappointing. Simply, go and play at Ilfracombe. It... More

We played golf - only - no food or accommodation. Some challenging holes, but a few in the middle (5,6,7,8) are a bit boring. Beware of flying balls where fairways cross each other. Main complaint would be the condition of the bunkers. Some were marked GUR, others were not but it was difficult to see any difference between them -... More

Having been to Willingcott some 9/10 times over the last ten years for an annual golfing break in a group of up to 4 people I regret to say that our latest trip was a disappointment and unfortunately may be our last. Previously Clive and Andy have made us very welcome, we have enjoyed playing golf and then really enjoyed... More

Hi, It saddens me to to read your comments, and i have spoken to all concerned. I apologise for the standard of meals that you had during your stay. Yes, we have franchised out both the bar and the restaurant, taking the opportunity when Clive moved on, so that Andy could start to slow down. Unfortunately, the chef was not... More

The website for willingcott is a fairly amateurish site which really doesn't do this place justice. I was meant to be playing ilfracombe but thought I would try somewhere new and am pleased I did as it's at least as good. I have alluded to the poor website and I wasn't immediately pleased to be charged £22.50 for a round... More

Golf course is just 5 minutes from Woolacombe village. Quiet in the week days but busier at weekends. Friendly club house. Interesting course.

This Devonian course is not for the faint hearted. Very testing even for the experienced low handicapper. Wonderful views from all parts of the course of the surrounding undulating landscape makes play even more enjoyable. Plenty of water hazards especially the No. 10. Green fees are very reasonable The club house is an old farmhouse and the bar is a... More

I have just returned from a two night stay in the Bed and Breakfast with golf included and all I can say are good things. The owner Andy is a great guy and really can't do enough for you and the whole staff make you feel so welcome. It is great value for money and the course is just brilliant,... More

We had the best of all worlds at Willingcott Valley last week. A cosy and well equipped cottage, millionaires golf on a very quiet and well maintained golf course and the personal services of the owner (Andy) as host and chef catering splendidly for our breakfasts and dinner in the clubhouse. What more could you want! We were sorry to... More

I recently stayed in Pump Cottage (no 18) with my Mum as I was brought up in the area and wanted to go home for a week. The accommodation was good for us because there were no stairs. Everything that one needs for a self-catering week was included - plenty of cooking utensils/pots and pans etc plus fridge, cooker, microwave.... More
