We have now visited Knightshayes four times at different times of year and love it. We were never a fan of the Arts and Crafts movement but Knightshayes has changed our mind. The house is stunning as are the grounds. There is a super cafe in the old stables, these are an architectural masterpiece in themselves. A visit the the... More

We took our grandson to knightshayes to visit Father Christmas on Saturday. What a wonderful experience. He is four years old,an ideal age.We had to book first, and we were alloted a time slot.It cost £7,and was brilliant value for money.First we went to the big house, which had been decorated with huge christmas trees and decorations. The man himself was in a separate ,decorated... Just another example of why the national trust membership is a must. Big beautiful gardens. Stunning house which the kids also enjoyed and the staff were friendly as usual. This also had a great shop too.

lovely architecture and very interesting interior and family history. Restaurant/Tea Room good. Long walk from car park to House so drop off less able bodied passengers before parking. Make good use of the lovely volunteer guides they are a mine of information.

I haven't been to Knightshayes in a while and had forgotten how stunning and impressive the Home is. We were able to view the downstairs of the house, with the upstairs closed during the colder months. The staff in the house were so friendly and informative. Christmas decorations were beginning to go up. We enjoyed walking around some of the... More

Lovely house and grounds. Beautiful walks through the woods. There were a lot of cars in the car park so we thought it was going to feel busy and crowded but because the grounds are so big it was really quiet. Very good shop full of lovely Christmas gifts and decorations some of them very unusual. We will go back... More

Gorgeous house on beautiful grounds with a gorgeous garden. We only got to see the bottom floor as they did not have enough National Trust volunteers to open the top floor. The bottom floor was breath taking. Can only imagine was the top floor was like. Lots of parking. Lunch and coffee in the cafe was very nice. Great day.... More

This is our local National Trust property and we visit several times. When our son was home from America with his American girlfriend we thought they would like to see the house and gardens, we did not expect the house to be open (three rooms) the staff were lovely and spent lots of time with us and they let my... Visited in a group and really enjoyed the house with kids activities sheet. Friendly staff generally. Great cakes in tea room and good walking for dogs. Lovely day out for 3 generations.
