Walk the gardens for peace and tranquility, Beautiful mature trees and shrubs and lovely parkland. Great rhubarb in the walled garden. Spring and Summer best, if you just want a walk go in winter.

I visited Knighthayes Court a few years ago and remember that it was delightful and potentially my favourite National Trust property. Unfortunately however I visited again in January 2016 and was completely disappointed. My first visit was completed during the Spring/Summer. My latest visit was completed in the Winter- unfortunately although we could still see all the amazing ceilings but... More

I met a friend here for lunch we enjoyed a wonderful walk around the gardens and particularly enjoyed a world war 1 exhibition in the old church in the grounds, lots of history. We also enjoyed the enormous kitchen garden, puts my allotment to shame! Lunch was good and they have a very good gift shop. The house was fascinating... More

Although some rooms are closed, as is usual in NT properties in the winter, there is still a lot to see inside the house. I visited at the end of December when the beautiful Christmas decorations were still up and the spring flowers in the garden were unseasonally amazing! Thank you, NT, for opening during the winter months. Easy to... More

Lovingly restored to its gothic style by the national trust this house is set in a lovely parkland setting. The house has plenty of character and interesting features. The surrounding woodland walks are worthy of note.

The estate is well signposted from the motorway and is easy to reach with plenty of parking. The entrance into the house is staffed by a rather rude man who would prefer you to stand in line next to the door till he can see you rather than allow you to look out one of the windows if he is... More
