Our son loves hawks and we invited Nigel to bring his hawks to Archie's 7 th birthday party. Nigel was fantastic with the children and so knowledgeable about his lovely hawks. We all loved it - adults and children alike. The hawks blew me away and so lovely for a group of children to learn and respect these wonderful creatures.

I'm glad Archie and his several hundred small friends ( seemed like that many, anyway) enjoyed meeting the hawks. I'm always happy to be the means of getting kids closer the real world of nature, as opposed to the Walt Disney view, and the hawks are a brilliant introduction to that. I shall be leaving a souvenir Lady Macbeth mug... More

Nigel is very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the birds as well as having a fun hour flying Cassius and Lady Macbeth. If you're anywhere near Exmoor this is a must do experience, oh and the sausage rolls at Withypool tearoom are the best ever too.

Thank you for leaving a review. Although Trip Advisor can be a real pain for people in my position ( it has no customer support and it's various widgets drive you up the wall), it is a very good way for people to suss out an attraction before deciding whether or not to spend money on it. I'm glad you... More

My son is passionate about birds of prey so I thought this would be a good experience for his 6th birthday. Nigel assured me that he was old enough, and he was! We had an exceptional hour out with Nigel and 2 birds (Cassius and Lady Macbeth). Finley was able to have the hawks fly on and off his arm,... More

I seem to be getting more and more children on the Hawk Walks and it's nice that they are given the chance to get right up close to something as elusive and inspiring as the hawks. Finley certainly seemed to enjoy himself and thank you for sending me a copy of the picture he subsequently drew. I will try and... More

Nigel Penfold met us in a lovely little tea room in the middle of quaint Withypool Exmoor. From there we drove a short distance up the hill to fly the birds. Timing was just right weather-wise. He tailored the walk to suit us perfectly, as none of us were up for a huge trek. Cassius came out first and was... More

Thank you for your review and I'm glad you enjoyed your time out with the hawks. Please come and do a longer version with us one day. When people have enjoyed the one hour experience they often like to do the three hour Hawk Walk Plus, which includes a bit of time helping prepare the hawks for flying , and... More

We met Nigel at the café in Withypool - a delightful little village which is worth a look around before heading off with Nigel to the moors. We had over an hour with the wonderful Cassius and Lady Macbeth - Harris Hawks. We all had a gauntlet each and there was no time to be nervous as you soon find... More

Thank you for your review. Lady Macbeth is spectacular and it is a bit of a privilege to see her do what she was designed for. Millions of years of evolution, all coming to a point, right in front of you. can Come back and join us for a hunting trip sometime, or a three hour walk, so that you... More

Exmoor provides a perfect backdrop to flying two beautiful Harris Hawks. We met Nigel at Withypool tea rooms where we enjoyed a coffee with him first before heading out on a couple of minutes drives. The views were spectacular even on a foggy day. Nigel put us at ease with the birds straight away and was very knowledgeable and able... More

We first met Nigel and his two birds, Cassius and Lady Mc Beth at the Mid-devon show where we were immediately fascinated. We went on the Hawkwalk recently and it was AMAZING. It is incredible value for money as other experiences that we've looked at are over 10Xs as much for an experience no-where near as good. It is just... More

Well, it certainly sounds like you all enjoyed yourselves ! The Hawk Walks are good value. I particularly wanted to price them so that a family or small group of friends would give it a go. Some of the falconry centres give a good insight but there is nothing to compare with having the hawk on your fist. Doing it... More

They are indeed lovely. Sometimes a bit bloody-minded, but they tend to reserve that for when we are alone together. They react well with customers and as you enjoyed the one hour walk, I'm sure you'll enjoy the three hour version. Look forward to seeing you again. Regards, More
