Plenty of shops and a scenic estuary, a good place to visit on a sunny day in South Devon. The shops are a mix of chains and small independent retailers and there is a market in the town square regularly.

plenty of interesting shops to look in, coffee shops etc. For a quick visit you can park for an hour along side the river. Nice to catch the ferry to Salcombe from here in the summer.

Very interesting town with lots of independent shops and cafés. On the river, good walks around. The Old Bakery does superb morning coffee and cakes. Lunch was delicious

Lovely little museum which is well worth a visit. Quite small but several very interesting WW1 exhibits, some costumes and a great cabinet of Plymouth porcelain.
