Lots of sand, lifeguards, nearby ice cream. Just the job for young children. Plenty of cafes nearby. Plenty of car parking, but, as is sadly the case everywhere, you have to pay. But don't despair, the charges are not steep. Visit Abys opposite the Octagon, good food, good service, won't break the bank. Anth0ny 1943

Stretches for 2 miles. Golden sands which are clean and well kept. Life Guards on duty all day and always alert to swimmers in sea outside recommended areas. A wonderful beach for all age groups.

There is virtually nothing to do here, I would say it suited old retirement age people walking the dog, not very tidy, not many shops, virtually nothing to do for children, our family were sorely disappointed

Have been to Exmouth many many times.Went last week whilst holidaying in Devon with the other half.I don't really like this beach very much, well, the end nearest to the clock tower. This beach is on the edge of a dangerous estuary where the tide rips through, both coming in and on the ebb.Although it is partially manned by lifeguards when we were there... Lovely beach just a 2 min walk from campsite but had a very thick layer of seaweed running right along the shore which put a lot of people off going in the water -

Brilliant Beach and Walks Views fantastic, there is a beach walk along the front into town that is mostly flat and some good cafe's along the way, also from July a land train with various routes starting at £1.00 and max £3.00 all day, great value

Probably the cleanest beach i have ever been to! It was amazing. No stones anywhere and no rubbish. The only downside is the walkway back up, you need calves of steal!

The beach is stunning. life guards are on at certain times of the year. Looks good for learner surfers, as we saw a few taking lessons. You can take dogs on at certain parts which was great for our sweep. The promenade is not over spoilt with shops and cafes. good for young families.
