Devon's GOLD award-winning all-weather day out for the whole family! You can ride on the deer train or take a goat for a walk! Get up close to the animals in the pet centre or burn off some energy in one of the three different soft play areas, Pirate Ship Adventure or outdoor adventure playground. There's also a museum of farming and an indoor Victorian Street, featuring a dairy, cottage & pub! The vintage & classic car collection features vehicles that have appeared in Downton Abbey, Mr Selfridge & Parade's End. Then there's the steam engines and Reg Imray motorcycle collection. To top it all off there are daily ferret, lamb or duck racing shows and the excellent Hawkridge Bird of Prey flying display. Refuel at Farmer Lee's Food Barn restaurant or grab some local food to go from the Pasty Shack! With so much to see, come rain or shine, can you do it all in a day?!

My family and I visited here yesterday (23rd August 15) the weather wasn't great upon arrival, however the staff were so welcoming it didn't matter that the rain was falling. There is so much to see and do not only outside but inside too! We enjoyed looking around the inside exhibitions as the rain fell. We then took the deer... More

We have been visiting World of Country Life for about 5-6 years with the kids and took our extended family there this summer. There have been some improvements since we last visited and the extra attention to detail has been worth it. It may be odd commenting on toilets but if you have kids that need the loo as much... We were staying at Haven Devon Cliffs and decided to visit world of country life, with Grand parents and a 5 year old. at first it seemed a little pricey, but we were surprised as we got literally a full day here as there is lots to do for all ages, the animals appear to be very well looked after and... Visited while at Devon cliffs on holiday. Took our 3 children who enjoyed it very much paying extra for train inside isn't great as the admission fee came to 40 for family 5

Great to hear you enjoyed your day - sorry to hear that you felt it was expensive. We try really hard to keep our entry prices low and the Deer Train is one of the very few extras on the park - this helps us keep the price of entry as low as it is. We feel that £40 for... More

We stumbled across this place on the internet whilst planning a family holiday. There is so much to see and do! I was in my element as I collect vintage vehicles and farm machinery. My little nephew (18 months old) loved the machinery as well as he has grown up around it. However he was fascinated with the animal side... More

The Museum of Country Life contains some really interesting and well preserved machinery, but it's clear that the dioramas haven't been changed for years and the dummies seem to be more chamber-of-horrors than museum models, the girl with 2 left hands; the yellowing man with the wild painted moustache and varnished pink nails; the ladies with scar-like stains on their... Really sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your visit. The museum has a great range of very eclectic exhibits which do get updated periodically but we are not just a museum. From your review it sounds like you didn't get to ride on the Deer Train, watch the Hawkridge Birds of Prey flying display, walk a goat, feed the lambs... More

Visited the park with or young baby today. Had a lovely time walking around seeing the animals and enjoying the different areas. The park is very well maintained and the staff are friendly and helpful. The deer train is excellent for children but you must book to avoid disappointment. Tim the tractor driver on the deer train was extremely knowledgable... More

We are local but visit fairly often because the kids just love it! (I also have find memories of it as a child too). The museum is quite interesting (and I'm not normally a museum sort). My son loves the trains (he thinks it's great that you are allowed on a few of them!). The old shops scenes are also... More

Great to hear from local residents of Exmouth that they love visiting the park! Glad to hear you all enjoy your visit here - we try really hard to keep the park feeling family-friendly and not too commercialised so thank you for that feedback! Thanks for taking the time to write a review and we look forward to welcoming you... More
