We stopped here for lunch on a Saturday after spotting a sign from the main road. The building is totally charming with a beautiful thatched roof. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There was a big Christmas party going on but there was no delay in our food arriving. It was fresh and portions were generous. Not overpriced either. Will... More

Excellent food and drink, a great place to call in although it is probably best to book. Good views.

Went 29/6 with my 12 year old son, parents, two friends who were also staying locally and our little dog for Sunday roast, portions were plentiful and delicious, couldn't fault it, so much so going back tomorrow to sample the full menu! Staff were fantastic and really helpful in talking part of the group in who were lost. Certainly not... More

Once again a lovely evening here. After a poor experience a couple of years ago we have returned and are very pleased. The atmosphere is as we like it with good food and efficient service from pleasant staff. I wish it offered B & B as I would be very tempted. Also I would give 5 stars for having no... More

went to this pub on a lunchtime, yes there was a little bit of a lack of staff but we were not in a hurry so that didn't matter, the food was good and had no complaints there, but i can imagine that if it was the summer it would be a problem, but not been in the summer months... More

Valentines night 2014 the food was okay but the service was rubbish. They have several young waitresses and they were more interested in gossiping rather than waiting on tables. They couldn't even be bothered to take the money for the bill! Consequently no tip was given

We were left in the bar for 45mins before being taken to our table. There was a definite feel that although our starters had been prepared we had been forgotten. They had run out of a number of specials on the board despite it being 7:45 on a Saturday evening. Please avoid the braised belly pork, with braised cabbage and... More

If you want fish and chips in the garden with your kids then visit. Do not, however, visit and order anything more complicated. Today I ordered 'posh steak and chips' for £16.95. It was the most dreadful meal we've had in a long time - the last was also at this pub (when they ignored me at the bar for... More

This is our second visit here and again we were not disappointed. Good menu choice and friendly and professional staff. We will be in the area later in the year and will make our 3rd visit.
