This was our first visit to Pennywell, advertised as open all year. When we got there not everything was available to us, only one of the coffee outlets was open, which meant walking right across the site to get warm. The place seemed under staffed, and all in all it was a great disappointment. It says that four free rides... More

Went here last week for our Granddaughters birthday and even though the weather wasn't great we had a fantastic day. Loads for kids and adults to see and do with well set out areas and organised shows / demonstrations. Lots of "hands on" opportunities with ample hand washing stations to encourage cleanliness. Great day out and they have a rainy... More

If you like animals and love piggies, you will love Pennywell. We live in Bristol and visit at least once a year for our annual piggie cuddles. All the staff are friendly and the animals are just as cute :)...

Went here yesterday and what a waste of money it was my 2 1/2 yr old grandson wanted a pony ride and we were told to come back at 16:20 which was 2 1/2 hours later. We walked down to the tractor ride and stood by the gate, the man saw us waiting and the trailer was only half full...did... More

Obviously it is very upsetting for us to have such a poor review but if you had spoken to a manager on the day of your visit, I'm sure that we could have sorted out any issues and you would have gone away feeling completely different. You say that Pennywell is not good value for money but fail to mention... More

This was our third visit to Pennywell and each time it improves. With full access to all the animals and the owner out and about to make you feel welcome and informed, my daughter always enjoys her time there. This time she got to go in with a mummy micro pig who was about to give birth, we were given... More

Took my girlfriend as she loves micro pigs thought it would be the best place Unfortunately there were 5 pigs and none were what we thought would be micro the young girl we spoke explained that they 5 times smaller than a white pig If your expecting to see those tiny pigs in the cards and posters it won't happen... I'm so sorry that you were disappointed with our pigs. We do advise on our website that if you are planning a visit purely to see the miniature piglets, then it is always worth giving us a call or day or so beforehand to see if we have piglets. Unfortunately, we are unable to effectively control exactly when piglets are... More

Went there with daughter and her family on Christmas Eve 2014 for last nativity of the season. It was the most wonderful, magical Christmas Eve I can remember. The activities kept the grandsons entertained ( ages 6 and 3). They enjoyed colouring and cutting out christmas stockings. Making 'Reindeer food' from a selection of ingredients and playing skittles. At 4pm... More

Thank you so much for such a lovely, detailed review. We are all delighted to hear that you enjoyed your Christmas visit to Pennywell so much. It is sometimes very difficult for us to describe Christmas at Pennywell because it is so unique but you have managed to sum it up perfectly. We hope to see you again. More

Have been lucky enough to visit Pennywell twice now and am looking forward to coming back again in February when my daughter and I go to Paignton. The staff are very friendly and I absolutely love the piglets! Nutty Noah is superb and the pig racing was brilliant. If we didn't live so far away (Colchester), I would definitely get... More

Revisited Pennywell on a very warm Halloween. It is a stunning location and all the animals seem very well looked after and the talks interesting. There were a few issues on the day - the Rainbow Ride broke down (at least my three year old now knows a new verb 'to de-train') and the Tractor Ride also didn't seem to... More

I'm so sorry that there some issues on the day you visited but I can assure you that it was not because it was the end of the season. Our train did break down unfortunately and the only person on site that day able to fix it was also the tractor driver, hence him being a little late to open... More
