The Mill is a showcase for local artists and craft workers in a wide range of formats and materials. We've been going there for 30 years or so about once or twice a year and sometimes its better than others but always worth a look. The cafe is fine, too.

We have visited the Guild before and enjoyed looking at the beautiful pieces of glass, ceramics, textiles and paintings. As you wander through the art work, up a flight of stairs you find a cafe serving teas/coffee cakes and light lunches. The cheese scone I had with my soup, delicious. A very nice cappuccino followed, and my husband seemed to... More

We happened across this former mill after a Sunday afternoon stroll through the park/woods opposite. The cafe combines size, warmth & tasty food in equal measure. I liked the modern fire arrangement:especially in deep Devonian midwinter. I'm impressed, too, at the range of gluten-free/alternative food (herb scone, Bounty Bar, chocolate brownie) offered to those like me... They cater for breakfast,... More

Large well lit exhibition hall and gallery shows off very well individual ceramics, pottery, and jewellery . Paintings and prints, wonderful collection of cards, Wood and stone, a real mix of local crafts. Looking for a special present for someone or wanting an individual souvenir to take home from Devon,? Look no further. Some quite expensive , it's true, but... More

Wonderful gallery full of lovely Devon crafts. Very expensive, however. I can only look, wish and weep, but I enjoy doing all three of those, so that's okay.

This is a collective art centre for showcasing local artists. There is a permanent exhibition of work that was of surprisingly good quality as well as scheduled exhibitions through out the year, see their website for details of these. Just as important is their excellent cafe. Providing anything from a cup of coffee up to a good lunch it uses... More

We are delighted you enjoyed your visit. There is adjacent parking across the river for a small fee. We do not however own the car park between us and the former Riverside Inn though it is currently used for free by visitors. More

Beautifully converted mill houses wide selection of fantastic crafts by superb artists. We were surprised by the huge size of the space and delighted by the quality of work there. Huge variety of price, excellent place for presents. Treated ourselves to a beautiful mosaic picture. Devon is lucky to have such a large amount of talent and somewhere so excellent... More
