Fantastic, action packed campsite in a stunning location. Good facilities, fine cafe on site which serves food and local ales. Friendly helpful staff. my 11year old did not want to leave this campsite. The best playground that I have ever seen. The free river swimming activities were super. A most memorable place we will be back.

We stayed in Bovey & Cherrybrook rooms in the house, camping isn't a holiday for me! The rooms are adjoining and shared a spacious bathroom. The website doesn't show how lovely the rooms are so we were delighted with how spacious they were and the beautiful views from the windows of both rooms (although I'm not sure this is the... More

While on a week trip to Devon we decided that we would spend the day at the River Dart Country Park as the facilities are brilliant. We decided that as a family we would challenge ourselves and try the High Ropes course. Our son has cerebral palsy, which effects his left side and means that he doesn't have complete control... My husband and children joined a large group of friends who go to The river dart every year! They where really excited and spent a lot of time and money on camping equipment and wetsuits in order to enjoy and the water activity's that they had to offer. They couldn't fault the site or what was on offer to do... More

Just home from stay here (we did leave early due to hurricane Bertha arriving). We all found the shower and washing up water Luke warm not hot enough to remove grease from pots and pans. Staff were brilliant very helpful and friendly. My daughter and I were helped down from the high ropes professionally. Not enough for teenagers to do... More

I challenge anyone to find a better equipped or located campsite around. We have been coming here for 10 years now and the children, eldest 23, youngest 15 still want to come. Albeit for different reasons than when we first came. The Sawmill has been used for Milkshakes and now beers! Lovely that the family still want to be together... More

This was our first visit to the park, we (myself, husband, 11 yr old son and dog), camped on a non-electric pitch for a long weekend. the pitches were large and well spaced out. We were on the Picnic Meadow, and the amenities were excellent; always clean, in good working order, there was also a large freezer for ice blocks,... More

Third visit here in three years, camped with another family and 5 children under 10 between us. There is so much to do, providing you are prepared to engage with your children and enjoy the adventure. The paid activities are available so, high ropes, zorbing etc are all good value and well staffed with friendly instructors. Not the usual bored... More
