Get there early and maybe have breakfast in the Sawmill Café. If you are camping, pick a pretty spot (there are tons with great views) and get set up so the kids have a base - then the quiet ones can chill out when they need to. Then GO EXPLORE! Walk around the park in a huge circuit to get... More

Visited twice this summer on day trips. There is lots to do and see for children. It could do with a bit more variety on take out food and it's not great once the rain starts to fall, which is more often, on the edge of Dartmoor! However, we might get a pass next year as it's nice to have... More

Acres and acres of beautiful country side beside the river dart. We stayed in the B&B house. Comfortable, not posh, beautifully home from home. With the odd exception, the staff are incredibly welcoming and helpful. With special mentions for uber-helpful Hazel, 'Can do' Colin, smiling Maddy, the guys at the adventure ropes, the man who lit the living room fire each... More

We were looking for something to do with our two young children (5 & 7). River Dart seemed to fit the bill perfectly. Although we were visiting in October half term, every activity was open. Something that I wasn't expecting. It has some great activities for children and adults that are young at heart. Great walks, great play parks. The... More

We decided last minute to stay a 3 nights on picnic meadow pitch with no electricity with a family of four. The check in process and the subsequent visit to the reception were pleasant and the staff always made you feel welcome. The park it self was in the majority clean and well presented. The toilets were of high state... More

We had a family trip here - grandparents, parents & two girls age 4 & 9. The weather was dry but a bit cold to start off with. My daughters loved the adventure playgrounds and had a fantastic time in the water play area. Luckily we took wetsuits - the water is cold! We all had a carvery at the... More

We arrived in the muggy rain to find our pitch. Flat and soft ground meant the tent just flew up! As the rain got heavier I lay on the ground mat and enjoyed the view, an avenue of huge trees and as I listened to the summer rain and the flow of the nearby river, I felt totally at peace.... More

This was the second time we visited Riverdart, as part of the VW end of year show. The campsite is awesome - surrounded by beautiful trees and woodland, and with loads of adventure activities in it. The water zorbs and kayaking was a lot of fun and there are so many parks and free play activity areas for the children.... More
