Berry Head is a great place for bird watching, or just walking around and admiring the great views. It is also of historical significance being used during the Napoleonic wars.

the fort is really interesting history from 100s of years ago to the more modern bunker that resides there. there is wild life in abundance all around

I loved this place, everything about it. Interesting looking at the forts, learning about the wildlife, eating cake & drinking a great flat white in the café & just sitting on a bench looking out at the sea. I would go back & would recommend a visit. Take a picnic & games & stay all day.

A short drive out of Brixham but well worth it. A very narrow lane will take you to the car park...pay and display...then a nice walk to Berry head, two old forts and views to die for, a café for drinks and food and toilets. Some pathways are a bit uneven ,but worth the trek

Lovely place to visit all year round. A good time to go is in the Spring when the wild flowers are starting to blossom and the sea birds on the cliffs are nesting. A truly magical place to just sit and admire the lovely views all round.

Take the second gateway up and you will be rewarded with a slow climbing pathway edged with cyclamen, orchards and all manner of other wild flowers. If you decide to take the first gate you will be faced with steps which are to long and shallow to get into any sort of rhythm but are fine when coming back down. The... More

What a wonderful wonderful walk. A wonderful setting, even in the bad weather. Worth a visit. Great fortress to walk around as well.

Nice and quiet, nice walking area. Cafe also for hot drinks and snacks although in my opinion a little pricey.

No guarantees but Berry Head is a super place to visit if you want to see seals, dolphins and maybe even whales. Being a promontory it's a good place to see migratory birds in Spring and Autumn. Also the cliffs have the largest breeding colony of Guillemots in southern England. Besides the wildlife it's the site of a Napoleonic Fort... More
