The views and local historical stories were excellent. Parking was payable even for blue badges - didn't like that but it seems to happen a lot in Devon. It was easy to get caught up in the romance and history of the site. We found the cafe expensive for what it was. Service was slow, in all not very impressive.... More

An overall excellent experience. The views are fantastic and the service we received in the cafe was the best we had during our whole week's holiday in Brixham. Well done.

This a nice wild place to get out of town. There are some old fortifications and coastguard things for interest, views for miles, wild fruits to pick an information place and very nice cafe, most of it run by volunteers. Good place to take dogs. You have to pay for parking at all times.

Good place to walk off all those fish and chips, while enjoying great views! Beware of the steep cliffs, keep away from the edge.

Gorgeous views, interesting, keep your dog on a lead near the cliffs. Visit the cafe for some amazing breakfasts and bacon butty's. A must when visiting Brixham

Personally I missed some of the signs heading up here and when I did get up, you do have to be aware that it does have a very narrow lane leading up to it. There is a pay and display car park and then you can head out and pop into both of the forts - personally (as I had... More

I have only rated it average because there is a lack of information available when the centrte is shut; and the the reserve is open 24/7. It is a Napoleonic fortress site and also a stone mining quarry with great views and aspects to explore for medium ability folk.

Lots to stumble across as you walk around this area. The forts are interesting and the area links to the coastal walks enabling you to take your exploration a little further!

The forts are well maintained and the surrounding area is beautiful The views of the bay and coastline is really breathtaking I also enjoyed the coffee in the cafe which was unusual as fining a decent coffee is not easy...
