This experience was a huge bonus feature to our holiday, not only were the prices an extreme bargain, but the crew were marvelous; sharing their experiences, humorous throughout and always willing to go the extra mile! Due to the success of travelling between Brixham and Torquay (half hour journey), we found out about their Fairmile pleasure cruises which we took... More

This was a very interesting day out,we went by the lovely old bus made in 1947.arrived at Agatha Christies house ( our driver was brilliant, pleasant and very cheerful with loads of helpfull information )and was so impressed, you felt it was someone's home not a museum. The grounds were lovely.Plenty of facilities and helpful and kind staff.only downside the house had so... We were sold a return ticket to Greenway (Agath Christie's wonderful house, now NT) and reassured we could spend an hour in Dartmouth before returning at 5.15.Guess what, 2 adults anc 2 children stranded....the ferry just never returned. When phoning the number on the ticket receipt beware, 0845 and probably charging you to listen to muzak! We'll review again once... More

Thank you for taking the time to review, perhaps you would care to explain how 167 passengers managed to board the boat, leave on-time and get home happily. The only person to have acted disgracefully is you by fabricating such a stupendous review due to not following instructions given by the crew, our booking clerks, our website and our literature!... Booked online for Ag Christie experience....started Brixham and boarded heritage ship the Farmile( was fully booked so no opportunity to have a walk around) sailed round coast to Dartmouth and onto the Christie Belle to sail up the Dart to Greenway. Returned to Brixham on Barnaby the vintage bus! This was well organised the crew were welcoming and helpful and... More

Having tried to book this trip on Tuesday we were told by a lovely man at the kiosk in Brixham it was sold out so we booked to go the next day. Had a very enjoyable trip out and the commentary was a bit muffled but we could still hear and see what the captain was pointing out along the... More

This company is not the well known Western Lady operator the pushy ticket sellers give the impression.they are. After queuing for 25 minutes at Torquay a small tour boat came in and unloaded. The queue starts to move them the bad news the ferry is full up not even peak season and mid week this company are a let down... More

Thank you for taking the time to review. When you are paying £1 for a 30 minus ferry crossing from Torquay to Brixham - during peak times it gets busy. We have five vessels on the service a 175 seat vessel, two 100 seat vessels, a 73 seat vessel and a 63 seat vessel. Not sure how much more we... More

Really disappointed with the service today.. We booked 4 adults on a return trip to Brixham and asked the chap at the booking kiosk what time ferry we needed to catch to ensure we were back in Torquay by 5pm as we were picking someone up and couldn't be late. He assured us that the ferries ran every 25 minutes... More

We had a lovely two hour trip on the Fairmile - a WWII ship from Dartmouth out of the River Dart, out to sea west along the coast to the war memorial at Slapton Sands, and back. With entertaining and informative commentary, which let's face it, can make or break a trip like this. We heard about the US and... More

After anticipating this trip to Dartmouth on the historic Fairmile incredibly disappointing. Sitting at the back of the boat, the commentary was mostly indistinct, the speakers are either incorrectly placed or faulty. Interestingly we could clearly hear the political comments ie "closure of Brixham coastguard criminal and lives will be lost, write to your MP", "Dartmouth is a very expensive... More

Thank you for taking the time to review. How 12 speakers can be positioned incorrectly is beyond me. Just read all the other 5 star reviews of how wonderful the commentary is. You quite clearly have no sense of humour or any idea on what a magnificent vessel you were traveling on! We hope you enjoyed the commentary on the... More

Decided to take a day trip over to Brixham and caught I've of these ferries at a cost if £1 each way per person. Went every 45 minutes with a 30 min journey time. Good way to see the shore line and a nice bit of sea air on a sunny day. Good value and good service
