Great range of decent cafe's and restaurants and especially 2 quality fish 'n chip restaurants. Opportunity to buy really freshly caught fish from the local dock where the trawlers come in.

Thank you Trip Advisor for featuring Brixhams beautiful Harbour in the picture for best UK destination ranked No 4. The only mistake I could find was that you named us as Torquay. (Not nearly as pretty) Please could you adjust this minor error..... and buy your feature editor a new map. Regards Keith Williams

Always find it interesting to stroll and sit along the harbour and watch the fishing boats etc. Well worth a visit and to also view the chocolate box houses on the hilly parts. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants to eat around the harbour and of course fish and chip shops.

visited Brixham mainly for the local crab (in sandwiches) but took in the entire Harbour area. It has a rich history although you'll probably need to find a guide book or leaflet. There are the usual selection of gift shops, ice cream shops and cafes. The harbour is a working harbour so there are a number of small fishing boats.... More

Visited Brixham Harbour and stayed at Harbour View. Lovely stay with 2 great hosts. Not really much to do in Brixham itself once you've been round once. Torquay isnt far but didn't go there. Lots of fish n chips and pigeons to go with it. Restaurants serving all sorts. My biggest disappointment was that Brixham is proud to have a... More

Very interesting harbour with busy working fish market. Trawlers coming in to the harbour most of the day and night. Found myself noting their registration numbers to check out their names. Make sure you visit the pontoon with heritage boats moored up and take the time to stroll along the breakwater.

Pretty oldy world Brixham with its working Fishing Port. Its pretty cottgages overlooking the harbour. Its Marina, The Breakwater Bistro and The Prince William overlooking the harbour. Both lovely places to eat. The sea food restaurants overlooking the harbour not far from the Goldan Hind. The Berryhead National park with its old Napoleonic War fortifications and coastal walks overlooking the... More
