We brought my nieces here as they love wildlife. We were charged £15.50 for 2 adults and 2 children (both over 5). We were advised (after we had paid) that the spiders/reptiles area was out of bounds as they were undertaking work and my nieces were very disappointed. When I suggested a discount of the ticket price we were refused.... More

Previous reviews are accurate about the dodgy signage but some has been replaced and work is ongoing to revamp across the board over winter. The tanks are all in good condition and the critters in good health also home to a few very rare creatures..

.A bit disappointing. Lots of things to see but tatty and some signs missing or too dark to read. Staff not very chatty or approachable

Far better than I was expecting. A short review but not a lot more else to say apart from, make sure you go next door as well.

I have a marine aquarium and always try to seek any thing to improve things, the displays good be in a better presentation, but the fish etc. were all in good health, I asked the proprietor for some advice on a subject, he not only told me what I wanted to know this led to other marine questions and he... Run down and tatty! Some beautiful fish on show but very scruffy premises and sadly lacking in information. Many of the tanks have lost their labels.

Great aquarium fish all looked happy and well looked after, all staff very friendly and helpful . It's not a sea life place just a small family type place, worth an hour of your time if you fish or are interested in local marine life.

Depressing! I came out feeling very sorry for the fish (and myself). Dark, gloomy and all a bit run down which is a shame as I had fond memories as a child.
