Uninviting, tucked away at the back of the house. The initial impact of the coffee shop was a mismatch-nothing seemed to co-ordinate.

We loved our time at Sausmarez Manor. The Dower Flat, which my wife, daughter and I rented for two weeks, is most comfortable and full of character. We especially appreciated all the cut flowers and foliage and the generous stock of local provisions. We also greatly enjoyed all the activities and facilities on our doorstep: Peter's ghost tour, Frank's tour... More

We never did quite work this place out. The route around the garden populated by sculpture was interesting - if a little expensive. The miniature railway was not interesting enough to delay us, and we don't play golf.

The guide knew the history of the area and made the house come alive. The grounds were well kept and interesting. In the workshops we met a very talented coppersmith and learnt a great deal about his trade, then bought bracelets to remember the experience.

We dropped in towards the end of the day (I had planned to spend more time here and was pleased we hadn't). Tours of the house are limited (and timed) so we didn't get in. The gardens are not that special (go to Saumarez Park instead). We avoided the wild garden due to the charge, but had a ride on... More

We loved the manor, very pretty walks, but they need to tidy up the Japanese walk, which was quite disappointing

On our first trip to Guernsey, we wanted to see some gardens, and Sausmarez Manor has a high profile in the literature. The so-called tropical garden is a disgrace. It is a narrow valley planted mostly with bamboos and azaleas. So there is no colour outside the azalea season. Clearly no-one had done any real maintenance or weeding for many... More

My Husband and I and 2 friends visited the Manor recently. We attended the Saturday morning Farmers Market which was enjoyable. We also went on tour of the house - not a great deal to see but an 'interesting' guide.

The Sculpture Garden at Sausmarez Manor is worth a visit if you enjoy art and or garden walks. The cost per adult is £6 and I believe you are welcome to stay as long as you please, there are areas along the walk where you can sit and watch the ducks , read a paper etc. the trail through the...
