Well, we read some of the reviews on Trip advisor before planning to visit Sausmarez Manor (NOT to be confused with the Sausmarez Park - this is somewhere different) - and we were looking forward to it. We had planned to meet my elderly parents there later in the afternoon to take them for a cream tea. I can only... More

The sculpture park in the grounds was very interesting. We didnt go into the house because we thought the entrance fee was excessive as we were paying for the gardens too.You can get there on the local bus

An enjoyable visit. We enjoyed feeding the ducks, riding on the little train, gift shop average, cafe nice. Everything was a little run down. Children's play area just full of broken toys. Bearing in mind there are statues and art for sale ranging from £8,000 to £14,000 maybe they could sell some and give the place a cash injection! A... More

I had high expectataions of this visit but was only to be disappointed. The house looks stunning but we didn't take the tour. The shop was just as you may expect with typical tourist items rather than going for more locally produced things that aren't available anywhere else. The cafe was OK but unlike other places where the staff are... More

This is a good place to take children, they can feed the ducks, have a train ride and visit the family friendly cafe.

Go on a Saturday so you can visit the farmers market. I did not see many farmers there but there were some interesting stalls and no cost. There are other things to see which do cost but we have a good look around at the free stuff whcih was OK for the morning.

We went to the tea gardens to enjoy a cream tea. First of all when we walked into the tea rooms there was no good morning or hello... just a blank stare from the man behind the counter. He was extremely rude while serving us and said very little and he looked like he really just didn't want to be... More

This is a pleasant place to spend an hour or so. The tour of the house is interesting and the guide provides some background Manor and island history, specifically connected to world war II. The gardens are pretty. If you have young children the train ride looks like fun. You can buy seed from the gift shop and feed the... More

Really enjoyed our time here. Fed the ducks by the lake, visited the coppercraft, cafe and gift shop which was very interesting. Did not do the sculpture trail or tour of the house as we had done this in previous years. Enjoyed the varied Farmers Market on Saturday
