This is advertised as one of the top 3 attractions in Guernsey – how can this be so? We visited on a Saturday morning so the Farmers’ Market was in full swing, however describing it thus is disingenuous: it was more like a village fete with an extra 2 or 3 stallholders selling local produce (fish and seafood, local meat,... We visited Sausmarez Manor to do the sculpture park through the sub tropical gardens. It was amazing and stunning. It was raining, but that didn't matter and anyway much of it is covered by the lush vegetation. If you like mini golf and house tours, then I guess that is a bonus for you. World class art works in a... More

We were doing a lap of the island on a #91 (clockwise, the #92 goes anticlockwise) bus and stopped off at Sausmarez manor in time for the 10:30 house tour. The tour guide was very knowledgable and clearly loved her association with the family. The family history is fascinating as are the artefacts in the house.

We stayed in the Dower flat, early June this year, the flat is large and comfortable, although maybe a little tired, welcome pack was well thought out and gave a great start to our break, Peter De Saumarez, the Lord of the Manor and Rosina were most welcoming and made us feel that nothing was to much trouble. Access to... More

We got up early to go to farmers market, but it was quite small. Homemade food was good. Art park was enjoyable, very peaceful sculptures can be purchased (expensive!).

Decided on a visit as we had read about the grounds. Unfortunately they were rather uninteresting and had it not been for the sculpture trail we would not have stayed very long. Some of the items were excellent and worth seeing. We did not do the actual trail as quite pricey and sceptical if it was worth the cost. We... More

There are not a lot of things to do on Guernsey; Sausmarez Manor is sometimes billed as a must do but I found other sites more interesting- it really depends on your interests. I know my mother could spend hours in the house which is filled with antiques, old furniture and paintings. You are not able to visit the entire... More

We enjoyed a lovely morning at Sausmarez Manor last weekend and picnicked in the beautiful gardens while the children played around us. The Manor is well located outside St Peter Port and has a lovely atmosphere. The children really enjoyed the train and the ducklings and the Saturday Farmer's is a great opportunity to buy local produce.

Uninviting, tucked away at the back of the house. The initial impact of the coffee shop was a mismatch-nothing seemed to co-ordinate.

We loved our time at Sausmarez Manor. The Dower Flat, which my wife, daughter and I rented for two weeks, is most comfortable and full of character. We especially appreciated all the cut flowers and foliage and the generous stock of local provisions. We also greatly enjoyed all the activities and facilities on our doorstep: Peter's ghost tour, Frank's tour... More
