We were welcomed into the hall by our very knowledgable guide whose introduction to the house was of interest to all. We were then conducted around the house which has been extended over the centuries to accommodate various families for over 800 years. The family still live in the house so it has a homely feel and yet is full... More

A group of us went to the house for the ghost tour and it was really interesting. Peter told us stories of their own personal experiences. He warned us from the start that it was unlikely anything would happen as the ghosts seem to be a little shy with groups. The stories he shared were intriguing, especially the one about... More

Although the tour round Sausmarez Manor is not very long (actually a good point, you don't get overloaded and can take a lot in), it's really interesting and Herr Lau, our guide was the most knowledgeable person I have ever come across. He has a wealth of information about everything - the manor, the family, Guernsey, history, naval history, you... More

Brilliant market - very quirky. The Manor was not open but we didn't want to be inside on a warm day!

The excellent sculptures were displayed mainly in the tropical garden but with some in the grounds of the manor. The overgrown autumn sub-tropical garden with carpets of bamboo leaves did not do justice to the sculptures placed within it. They were more attractively displayed within the manor grounds which were free to enter, but the sub-tropical garden does have an... More

We visited Sausmarez Manor at about 3.30/4pm after a visit to Catherine Best's mill showroom (well worth a visit) which was fairly close. The place was very quiet with very few cars in the car park - not normally a good sign. We wanted to play pitch and putt or putting but the "shop" was closing so we chose putting.... More

I was advised to visit Sausmarez Manor on a recent visit to Guernsey. As it was rather a misty day I was a little hesitant but I did so on Saturday Septmeber 20th. The tropical garden was a delight, with dripping leaves giving a truly tropical feel. The bamboos and other abundant foliage interspersed with amazing sculptures, and verses of... More

Enjoyed an excellent evening ghost tour, expertly hosted by Peter de Sausmarez. A well balanced blend of informative and amusing ghostly, historical and family anecdotes which is suitable for all ages. The evening ends with a complimentary drink and a chat in the stately dining room. A highly recommended and very reasonably priced event for visitors and residents alike.

Great place to visit, the grounds, the duck pond and the vintage cottage were excellent. We spent all day there and went to the cafe which was very friendly and had a wide choice

Wandering through the Sculpture Park -- the exotic bamboo forest there is my favourite spot on the Manor estate -- I met visitors from Vermont. While they thought the sculpture trail was fun and the artwork excellent, their biggest fascination at the Manor was Guernsey Cans (coppersmith shop) located behind the manor house next to the coffee shop. They had... More
