This is a must visit if you are in Guernsey. We spent a delightful hour in the gardens looking at the statues, reading the poems and noticing the garden springing into life. I can also recommend the ghost tours which I experienced last trip. Even in March there was plenty to see in these lovely gardens. High summer will be... More

Nice historical building and food good if you book in the manor. The owner very friendly and his cook does lovely food. Ghost trips are good too and we always take visitors.

My wife came here on a family holiday some years ago! Having come to the island on a family holiday ourselves decided to come and have a look round. The male guide was extremely good and informative, included the children to keep their interest also. Down side was the extra cost for the garden sculptures and the slightly small tearoom.... More

This Manor house has a small tea room, sadly does not cater for Coeliac's, but pleasant enough for a drink, there is a little gift shop and there is also an 18 hole golf course for a small fee, that is a lot of fun and worth a visit.

We were lucky to visit during the farmers market and the International Sculpture Exhibition. The tropical gardens are a good backdrop for some wonderful sculptures. The cafe is a bit disappointing due to a rather cool welcome.

The pleasure of visiting Saumarez is enhanced by the natural beauty of the gardens, sculpture and artistic merit of this historic home, still inhabited by a branch of the family. In addition to the historic surroundings,we have had the pleasure of renting self-contained accommodation within the main house, under the care of the resident family host. This experience was most enjoyable and... More

Yesterday, a couple of friends and I went to visit this incredible house with so much history. The gentleman who guide us through the house was very kind (he even offered us a glass of wine during the visit! How many places do you know they do that?) and have many gosht stories to share with the people who like... More

The train was nice for our son but the cafe and gardens weren't great. The cost of the garden was too expensive and the sculptures all seemed largely pointless.

We toured the house with a most informative guide and learned much about the history of the house and the family. Lovely gardens although there was another cost to visit part of the gardens which we decided against. Pleasant tea rooms and an interesting smith's shop.

The guide made this short tour round the house a really good experience, he made the history live. Our expectations of this attraction were much higher than the reality, the advertising makes it look much bigger and better than it is. Gardens and sculptures in need of some TLC, the café is poor and the outside tables with full ashtrays... More
