As well as Sausmarez Manor having a great history where the owner Lord Peter de Sausmarez gives tours of the Manor itself, there is also an area around the park with many outstanding statues made by a variety of artistes which are also available to buy. There is also a gift shop, a café and a copper shop where you... More

Myself and a few friends visited Sausmarez Manor fairly recently. Really enjoyed the ghost tour in the Manor which included the history of the house and family as well as some stories about some of their ghosts – although unlucky for us the ghosts did not show themselves on the day. All rounded off which a glass of wine and... More

I had immense fun on the ghost tour around the manor with a very knowledgeable and friendly host. A great and quirky birthday gift with some history thrown in.

We were welcomed into the hall by our very knowledgable guide whose introduction to the house was of interest to all. We were then conducted around the house which has been extended over the centuries to accommodate various families for over 800 years. The family still live in the house so it has a homely feel and yet is full... More

A group of us went to the house for the ghost tour and it was really interesting. Peter told us stories of their own personal experiences. He warned us from the start that it was unlikely anything would happen as the ghosts seem to be a little shy with groups. The stories he shared were intriguing, especially the one about... More

Although the tour round Sausmarez Manor is not very long (actually a good point, you don't get overloaded and can take a lot in), it's really interesting and Herr Lau, our guide was the most knowledgeable person I have ever come across. He has a wealth of information about everything - the manor, the family, Guernsey, history, naval history, you... More

Brilliant market - very quirky. The Manor was not open but we didn't want to be inside on a warm day!

The excellent sculptures were displayed mainly in the tropical garden but with some in the grounds of the manor. The overgrown autumn sub-tropical garden with carpets of bamboo leaves did not do justice to the sculptures placed within it. They were more attractively displayed within the manor grounds which were free to enter, but the sub-tropical garden does have an... More

We visited Sausmarez Manor at about 3.30/4pm after a visit to Catherine Best's mill showroom (well worth a visit) which was fairly close. The place was very quiet with very few cars in the car park - not normally a good sign. We wanted to play pitch and putt or putting but the "shop" was closing so we chose putting.... More
