I'm sorry to say it was not what I expected, I felt that the grounds were not very well taken care of parking was a challenge too. I did however enjoy looking around the folk museum! The 60s area well I'm a 60's child didn't float my boat!

This museum is very nice. I'd say one of the nicest in the island. For those who have smaller children - there is a nice playground for them. It's not our case with teenage children .... The price is correct. You can also eat there and we had a better Tiramisu there than in the number 10 restaurant in Guernsey... More

Well it's the only place to get something to drink or eat in the park. We bought two ice creams at this cafe which we found expensive, having said that a pot of tea for 3 was good value also good menu available.

Pleasant grounds, decent café & facilities, good place to 'wind down' . Makes a change from beaches & coastal scenery.

Lovely park and house. It houses a folk centre by the National Trust of Guernsey. Not to be missed. It has a quiet yet lovely tea-room that has been a vinery and still has grape vines growing in it.

We were lucky enough to be in town for the annual Viaer Marchi (Old Market in Guernsey French) which is held in the park on the first Monday evening in July (weather permitting). That was well worth seeing, and as a bonus we could visit the Folk & Costume Museum which is run by the National Trust of Guernsey and... More

Well maintained gardens with toilets and eating facilities. Large childrens' play area but smallish car park. At this time of year the rose garden is spectacular. The Victorian Walled garden is still being renovated to a high standard and the work done by the volunteers is commendable. A real treat to see how it is coming along over the years- a... More

We happened to visit Saumarez Park during a big Vintage Vehicle event which was fascinating. The gardens are well laid out and the Camelias and Rhodes are well worth seeing. We were too early for the roses. Our particular favourite was the National Trust folklore area showing life in Guernsey in the 19th and early 20th centuries. It was well... More

It's a pleasant, open space that seems to be a magnet for folks to let their young children get some good practice on bikes, have little picnics, etc. However, there is not enough in the park itself to make a special trip for adults to wander around. Although much is said about the Japanese influence in the garden, nothing special... More
