This is the easiest review I've ever written, a wildlife park that allows you to see Western Lowland Gorillas, Pied Tamarins (the most endangered primate on the planet), fruit bats, meerkats, flamingoes, Andean Bears, otters, and so much more. And while you're having this wonderful experience, much of it explained by the keepers themselves, you're learning about the global picture... more

A lovely day out. Great for children and adults. They have a good selection of animals, all in pleasant enclosures (the animals are the priority). There are talks at certain enclosures, which are very interesting. It was orangutans and gorillas the day we were there. The food served on site is lovely, from sandwiches to full meals. I would say... more

When we said we were going to Jersey, we were told we had to visit Durrell Wildlife Zoo. It was a hot day and I was worried that all the animals would be sleeping. However we entered the park and were greeted by a crowd of people looking at the Bears and it just got better the more we went... more

Visited here on Monday during my short break to Jersey. Highly recommended. One word of advice if you have anyone disabled in your party, when you do the admission say to the cashier how many disabled (you have to show ID) and that person gets in free. more

Quite simply the best part of Jersey. Entrance fee very reasonable considering the acreage. Gerry Durrell was a lucky man. If you don't visit you are missing out on some beautiful garden layouts and animals. more

If you go to Jersy then one of the places you must vist is Jersey Zoo. This is the headquarters of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust and is not the usual type of zoo you expect. Gerald Durrell was a a man with great vision and this is reflected in his legacy. On arrival at the zoo we immediately knew... more

We went to the zoo on 18th June 2004 and loved it. It was £10 to get in and worth it when you see inside. The Zoo is a conservation place to help get all the animals which are becoming extinct back into the world. Its worth going to the talks from the zoo keepers at set times around the... more

Founded by Gerald Durrell, late author and naturalist, Durrell Wildlife is a zoo that isn't a zoo. The animals, birds, reptiles and insects at Durrell Wildlife are there for a very specific reason; because they are at substantial risk of extinction in the wild. You won't find lions, tigers and rhino's here though - Durrell focuses on the animals that... more
