Amazing to see the wonderful varieties of orchid and to be able to learn more. There was even the opportunity to buy some, the staff helped us box them up so they will be alright in our suitcase. All 10 back home in one piece.

Comprises a number of greenhouses but only one is open to the public. The orchids are beautiful and varied but the greenhouse is much smaller than expected for the entry fee.

The Orchid foundation was set up in 1958 by a scientist named Eric Young. The orchid display house features permanently planted landscapes that create an impressive and exotic display using raised beds, logs and branches, and traditional Jersey granite, to exhibit the orchids in all their compelling and extravagant beauty. During my visit I observed the veins on the petals... More

Extremely disappointing. Whilst some of the orchids are beautiful you can walk around this place in minutes and not even have somewhere decent to enjoy a coffee. Instead coffee is served from self service flasks and money collected in a basket. At least have a decent coffee shop.

The site is dedicated to orchids and has a good indoor display. The visitor gets a leaflet about the different types of orchids. As a non-specialist, I found it quite difficult to tie the signs in with the relevant plants. They are very attractive but I found a short visit was all I required. The site is a short walk... More

Lots of orchids of every colour and shape. Some of them very alien looking. If you like orchids this is the place to go. It is not open every day.

If you like orchids you will love this, when we visited most of the orchids were in flower and were a delight to see, we have taken some wonderful photo's which we intend to print off, whilst we were there we could purchase a cup of coffee and we also bought a lovely illustrated brochure, well worth a visit.

If you like plants and orchids you will love this place. Collection built up over many years by Eric Young & now maintained as an attraction with his name. The main covered display area aims to maintain a constant display of orchids by moving plants from its other glasshouses as needed, producing a very professional display, the envy of many... More
