And who doesn't? The constantly changing display in the main arena will delight and inform you. Eric young started this collection and it has grown from strength to strength winning world wide top awards for their stunning results of their breeding programme. (I gather it takes from 4 to 10 years to produce an award winning orchid for display.) When... More

If you love flowers this is a must. The collection of orchids are truly amazing and so beautifully displayed, they are so perfect. The ladies at the desk the day we visited were really helpful with advice on orchid problems. Great for a rainy day.

If you like orchids, this is a must visit. The place has so many to see. The walk around the greenhouses only took about 30 minutes but there was such a variety of orchids to see if you were knowledgeable about them you could spend hours. Even for me as one without green fingers I enjoyed the visit.

I am a Jersey Girl and have never been to the orchid foundation before, but i have developed a love of orchids and decided to pay a visit! We loved it as soon as we walked in! There is a large variety of gorgeous orchids and i will definitely be going more often! The £4.50 entry fee was definitely worth... More

Out of season we had the place to ourselves. I love orchids and there was some beauties here, beautifully displayed in settings sympathetic to their natural home. A lovely place to visit.

Amazing to see the wonderful varieties of orchid and to be able to learn more. There was even the opportunity to buy some, the staff helped us box them up so they will be alright in our suitcase. All 10 back home in one piece.

Comprises a number of greenhouses but only one is open to the public. The orchids are beautiful and varied but the greenhouse is much smaller than expected for the entry fee.

The Orchid foundation was set up in 1958 by a scientist named Eric Young. The orchid display house features permanently planted landscapes that create an impressive and exotic display using raised beds, logs and branches, and traditional Jersey granite, to exhibit the orchids in all their compelling and extravagant beauty. During my visit I observed the veins on the petals... More

Extremely disappointing. Whilst some of the orchids are beautiful you can walk around this place in minutes and not even have somewhere decent to enjoy a coffee. Instead coffee is served from self service flasks and money collected in a basket. At least have a decent coffee shop.

The site is dedicated to orchids and has a good indoor display. The visitor gets a leaflet about the different types of orchids. As a non-specialist, I found it quite difficult to tie the signs in with the relevant plants. They are very attractive but I found a short visit was all I required. The site is a short walk... More
