We chose to visit this Castle as our first taster of Jersey, and were NOT disappointed. A good price for a family ticket with excellent facilities for the children (dress up and play area), excellent service, a wonderful castle, and brilliant artwork that bought it to life. A thoroughly enjoyable day and well worth it, couldn't recommend it enough!

This review is about Gorey and Mont Orgueil Castle. Gorey is roughly 30 minutes east out of Saint Helier, the capital of Jersey. The small township is within easy access by Jersey bus ( £1.70 oneway adult / € 2,- or $2.60) and busses run frequently on the hour. Be careful in Spring and Summer because there are quite a... More

Informative staff on hand. Even though some of the installations were puzzling you could really feel the history here.

This is a great place to visit and for kids to burn off energy. Lots of climbing and passageways leading to interesting discoveries. Lots of interesting history. I wandered slowly looking at the exhibits - they ran around discovering the secret passageways and stairways. Well worth a visit.

Lots to see and fantastic views. Lots of steps though, so not ideal for very small children, buggies or disabled people.

This castle is extremely well maintained. There are helpful guides around should you need any information to expand on that already provided by easy to read plaques and notices. The climb however is not for the faint hearted, firstly onto the hill on which it set and then the vast numbers of stone stairs outside and in need to get... More

The castle, perched on the hilltop is a spectacular place. The castle itself is great and the surrounding town and beach is great.

Mont Orgueil (Gorey Castel) is one of the best historical attractions on the Island - and in Britain. The castle has great information points making it very educational and there are re-enactors present. Mont Orgueil is rich in Jersey's history and culture and so is a great day out for everyone (tourists & locals) - I would highly recommend Mont... More

Although parking is an issue in Gorey, do try to visit this castle as it offers a chance to take in a great family attraction, with plenty to see.
