Well worth a visit. Very helpful lady in the reception. We could have spent a whole day exploring it all. So many rooms-with interesting exhibitions in.

We went to Gorey just to have a look round, not in any case expecting the Castle to be open, we were right and found out that it was only open on the Monday during the winter months, I would not have got up to it anyway it is a long climb up steep steps. We were in Jersey Early... More

Our first visit to Jersey and this seemed a popular place to visit - so we gave it a try on a Sunday afternoon in late March. We were surprised by the number of people there for the time of year - but it was a lovely sunny day to go exploring. A great castle, and very interesting - full... More

The architecture of the Castle is magnificent and incredible. Inside the castle, there is a room to demostrate the model of the castle and the 3D maps scattered around the castle are really helpful to understand the structure and the usage of the area.

Really good place to explore during an afternoon, there are so many nooks and crannies, really easy to get lost. Lots of history to learn about over the ages, fascinating place.

Driving along the sea route into Gorey you are immediately taken by the enormity of the castle on the hill which is Mont Orgueil. We parked up on the hill by the side of the castle and access is very easy. It cost us £11.50 each which we thought was very reasonable considering the pure size of this building with... More

A real treasure of a place to visit. Definately need to visit if your in Jersey. The views of the bay are priceless. Lots of stairs though so you need to be semi fit!

All castles have a long history, and Mont Orgueil is no exception. A medieval castle, it underwent numerous structural changes over the centuries, and was last used by the Nazis during WWII. The keep is a maze of circular staircases leading to various rooms, some of which had video presentations on a variety of topics. Well worth a visit. We... More

It may only now be a historic remnant but such an imposing on. The castle even now still looks as if could withstand a long siege. A long and absorbing visit to this place is a must, room by room you wander from the castle beginnings thru all the added towers and fortifications. So much has been preserved here that... More
