Seemed to be working and a landmark worth seeing. Good for photos. Near maritime museum, the parking here seemed to be 20 minutes only!

Why it is called a steam clock I will never know because it certainly doesn't look like it is steam powered to me. We arrived just before the turn of the hour, but nothing, no whistles or horns, nothing! There doesn't seem to be any info on the clock. Take a look and the photo but don't get too excited

Not powered by steam now, but still has the effect every four hours - great fun to watch, and looks just like a steamboat

Rather a let down. A modern version of a traditional stream clock. Not terribly attractive and features often fail. Have seen more attractive clocks elsewhere.

Very unusual worth a look just for it's curiosity cant really say much more about it. It is a little out of the way and difficult to visit but OK nonetheless.

Stayed in nearby hotel for 9 days. Not sure what this is. No indication apparent. We walked round it once but did not know what we were looking at. Clock was wrong anyway. Nothing looked as if it moved or worked at any time. Weird!!

Near harbour and free to look at. Strikes or rather blows its funnels on the hour. Worth a look - nice pub close by as well.

The clock was stood there with no information as to history or how it worked. Very disappointing. There may have been something in the Tourist Information Office but I went there first and wasn't looking for it.

A great looking device, but the steam part of the clock seemed to be broken over the 3 days we were there.

The steam clock used to be such fun - bubbles and whistles and all sorts going off on the hour. Not sure if it works at all now but still good for a photo or somewhere to sit and eat lunch.
