I visited the National Park in maj 2008. The experience can be separated in 3. 1) The Visitor Centre. By paying a fee you can enter the exhibition to learn about the history of the place 2) The ruins. You can go around the place contemplating the different buildings and the cementery. We took a tour that drove us through the Wicklow Mountains National Park and included Glendalough and the ruins of the monastery.
