It was an great impression, we really enjoyed it. All this wild nature, seals, waterfalls, big lakes and yellow bushes. It was an great honour for us to experience this countryside with you. I visited the National Park in maj 2008. The experience can be separated in 3. 1) The Visitor Centre. By paying a fee you can enter the exhibition to learn about the history of the place 2) The ruins. You can go around the place contemplating the different buildings and the cementery. We took a tour that drove us through the Wicklow Mountains National Park and included Glendalough and the ruins of the monastery. The tour took all day, but we were extremely happy with it, especially the part at Glendalough. We spent almost two hours walking through the ruined monastery toward the two lakes. Either starting your trip out or ending it Dublin, Glendalough "The Glen of Two Lakes" is a must see! Its beautiful! There are tours or take the drive yourself.
