Scratch another item off my bucket list! My daughter and I travelled to Sligo with the sole purpose of galloping horses on the beach. The 4-hour island ride was all we hoped for and more. Our horses, Tom & Jerry, were docile yet eager to please. Sure-footed and cautious on the rocks, they were happy to race flat out down... More

We had a great afternoon riding on the beach in what is a lovely, family run business. Care was taken to make sure all abilities were catered for in what amounted to essentially private lessons for the two children in the group. Great value for money

My boyfriend and I went to Island View Riding stables for an afternoon out. We had beautiful weather and we were excited to take a beautiful ride by the beach. While the scenery was breathtaking, there were a few bumps along the way. However, be warned that prices are steep and there is a horse, named Molly, that you should... More

First of all our guide, Johana, was really great. She was great to talk to she showed us some amazing views. Secondly, the stables was really well organised - a huge selection of boots and helmets which all fit properly. The horses were well looked after, they were happy and healthy. We went on the two-hour hack which featured great... More

I alsways wanted to ride on the beach, although I am a nervous rider when it comes to ridnig outdoors. My daughter and I went for a ride for an hour with our horses Teddy and Nala. Trotting away along the water was awsome. The horses aren't scared of much, water, wind, farm animals, cars, nothing seems to worry them.... More

It was the windiest day of 2015, with gale force winds coming across the Atlantic, hail, rain, sleet and snow, but that didn't deter the owner of Island View Riding Stables. We booked our appointment for three of us for 12pm. All beginner riders. We were given our horses, Meg, was one and I cant remember the other two, but... More

You girls were such great Craic !A memorable ride out for me in great company. You ladies managed the elements very well and I have no doubt you enjoy yourselves no matter where you go. I highly recommend this family owned and organised farm attraction, over looking the panoramic vista of beaches and islands, that comprise the Heritage area of Grange and Moneygold. I have sent my European students and visitors, to ride on beach treks, on safe well mannered ponies, cobs and traditional Irish horses, many homebred, and personally trained by Ursula and her qualified staff. I have... More

Thanks so much for this wonderful review. The formula is simple: Assess the riders and their needs, treat your horses well and act responsibly- then ad to that a bit of fun ! I learnt this basic recipe at a very nice stables that worked on the same principle. We really apreciate the referrals we get from yourself and so... More

I did a beach ride as part of a Wild West Irish tour and it was the highlight of my whole Ireland/UK trip. I have done a reasonable amount of riding and have been to stables where you aren't allowed to canter, they don't cater for nervous riders, and they don't keep an eye on beginners ("Just hop on and... What a fabulous review ! Thanks very much . I must return the compliment to yourself and Wild West Irish Tours ... Anybody that has come to us as part of their groups has always been the most pleasant customers one could wish for and so appreciative of the horses, the staff and the scenery! More
